One of the biggest mistakes that first time visitors make when they come to Las Vegas is thinking that there are no rules because Las Vegas is marketed as an “anything goes” type of place, hence the name “Sin City”. Not only are there rules and laws that people are expected to follow in Las Vegas, in this video I will give you advice on some of the “unwritten rules” for etiquette, how to behave and myths you hear about. This video covers topics from tipping to finding money to tips on activities and how to have a good time while saving your wallet from losing all of its money. 1. Tip everyone including the annoying stinky homeless dude? Hell that only kicks the break even goal further down the road.

Think I'll just tip the service provider that makes my stay agreeable. As always.

  2. Have to admit what DOESN'T happen in "Sin City" surprises me. No full nudity in strip clubs (unless that has changed?) and prostitution (You can gamble and drink on the streets but paying for sex is frowned upon?).

  3. Thank you for telling me about the rams at Hemenway park, it was a great stop on the way to Hoover Dam, and thanks for telling me about the Nazi checkpoint they set up at the dam.

  4. Living here for 20 years I can tell you it’s a lot tamer than what people think you watch the hangover movie it’s far fetched someone’s vision of what they think Vegas is like. No we have laws just like everywhere else and now that Joe Lombardo is going to be governor expect him to lay the hammer down and enforce those laws unlike sisolak that just allow a slap on a hand and on you go.

  5. I have personal experience with many of these, but I'll tell an amusing/embarrassing story about two of them that combined. I was playing blackjack at Bellagio one night and having a decent run. Managing to stay up in the range of 1.5x-2x of my buy-in. I usually tip well for the waitresses and by the time she got to me that night I was already up several winners so I opened with a $5 tip. Didn't expect that to be all that impressive at Bellagio but she was thereafter constantly bringing me fresh drinks. When you're drinking scotch, that doesn't take long to be come a bad thing. So within a couple hours I was that obnoxious jerk puking in the casino. Luckily made it to the restroom without too much overflow but still wholly embarrased that it came to that. Eventually staggered back to my hotel a winner though. Ended up clearing 3x my buy-in.

  6. Just went to Vegas & I was the only one of my group who brought a very good amount of $5 bills just for tips alone. Plus, I was just nice, and always said “please” and “thank you.” I definitely got treated the best and had the best service out of my group lol

  7. You missed one of the most important ones for Blackjack… Never ever split 10's…I see 🙈 that all the time when I come in January for CES especially with International Travelers…not cool…

  8. Reasons to not live in Vegas
    1. Low job wages
    2. Almost never rains
    3. Car insurance is extremely expensive
    4. It’s a racist city despite being very diverse
    5. It’s liberal
    6. The most ignorant people I have ever met (Nevada is ranked 48th in education)
    7. Tons of jaywalkers
    8. Food is gross (hardly any good BBQ or Mexican restaurants)

  9. I agree with all except mixing up the flow of cards. The cards are random. This includes anything anyone could do while randomly sitting down. Some mistakes will cost you money. Some will make you money.

  10. Which Strip Club has guaranteed "10s" in the Club?……at least you get see real "10s" even if it is high priced. Nothing worse then wasting $150 in cover charge & drinks and seeing only tattooed "4-5s" working.

  11. the prostitution isn't just women to men. I have been approached several times in casinos by young men asking if I have a room and would like for them to accompany me. The first time it happened, I had just had a handpay jackpot on a slot.

  12. Translation, give your money away to people already PAID for the jobs they are doing, do what the crowd wants you to do when gambling because it might mess up THIER winning………………..wrong. If you dont like the way I gamble, go to another table.

  13. Tipping is totally out of control in Vegas now😞 I respect it is part of American culture but why can't some of these people be paid properly by their employers? House Maids for example should be paid through resort fees in my view. Also why are we tipping bar staff now? This seems to have become common place but wasn't on my earlier Vegas visits. Sorry I sound like a grumpy brit.

  14. I consider myself a beginner blackjack and I usually only sit at blackjack tables when there's only one other player and the dealer. Usually the table has a $10 or $5 minimum. Some people are easy going and friendly. I just don't want to piss off the wrong guy. Also, I keep in mind that the strip clubs are designed to get as much money as they can out of you. I try to do at least one "tourist" thing when I'm there to keep busy and avoid overspending.

  15. To have your best experiences in Las Vegas or Laughlin or Lake Tahoe or Atlantic City will be tipping people around you. This is the best advice of all that you're gonna get. Tip everybody that serves you and helps you and tip them well. You will benefit from this action
Hell you're gonna lose the money at the tables anyway LOL

  16. You are so right about the drunks. I work at a strip resort and annoying, puking drunks are a huge minus. If you can't hold your liquor, don't drink as much. It's that simple.

  17. Never been to Vegas, and I couldn't do it if I tried, but how can counting be disallowed? I mean, I get they want to win (the house), but it's a SKILL, it's NOT cheating, so how can it be disallowed? I get that it is, just wondering what the logic is behind it and how they can be allowed to throw people out for it if they happen to win… Just a pet peeve of mine even if I can't do it, it just annoys me to no end when I hear about it. If I ever go there I'll set a budget for the night as you say, and stay with the low stakes stuff and slots, maybe I'll win maybe I'll lose, but as long as I stay on budget it's all good 🙂

  18. Unwritten rule I encountered at the craps tables – don’t “set” the dice. The dealers do not like when you flip the dice around,
even quickly, to preset which numbers are on top before you throw them. Just pick up the dice as they lay, shake them however you wish, and throw them, best of luck 💪🏼
