  1. I almost passed over this video thinking it was your Starfield pale lady video that I had already seen, then I noticed my folly and quick clicked. I appreciate your work and have enjoyed all of your videos including the ones on games I have never nor do ever intend to play.

  2. I always loved this quest. The idea of a cursed sword that haunts the wielder with ancient ghosts of thousands of years passed is so intriguing. People really don’t give Skyrim quests enough credit, they truly can be interesting and sometimes even unnerving.

  3. I played the game about a dozen times. I knew it all. Nothing new in here for me. Am I disappointed? Not at all!!! I loved it! All you basically do is telling the quest and some lore behínd it. No made up wild fan theory. A plus in my view. Maybe there is something wrong with me, or you are just doing something right, but I am definetly going to watch next the video too.

  4. There is a character in Elder Scrolls Online called the Pale Man, which is a falmer. We know falmer are the descendants of snow elves. So, if the Pale Man is a snow elf, then it stands to reason that the Pale Lady is also a snow elf.

  5. If the ancient nords wanted to keep the wispmother sealed in that sword why did they just leave that thing sitting on weapon rack like it was a cool katana they found online. You gotta put that thing in a stone! Dun, that is sealing 101.

  6. Moon sugar in its basic form isn't a problem for Khajiit, and they use it in cooking in Elsweyr. So Ra'jirr usng it and staying right in the head at first is normal.
Interestingly enough, wispmothers do appear outside Skyrim. There's one found in Shadowfen, a part of Black Marsh explored in ESO. She lurks in a marshy area with a lot of graves instead of somewhere cold, and uses an illusion to resemble the ghost of an Altmer and manipulate a guy into guarding her, believing her to be his dead wife. This makes a pattern of wispmothers using illusion magic, and we also have a pattern of them showing up in places associated with death.
Wispmothers will appear around ancient Nordic or Dwemer ruins, and while I haven't looked enough to be sure about details, wispmothers also appear in Cyrodiil with one I've heard of at an Ayleid ruin, Valenwood, and even Hammerfell in the Bangkorai area. Since these locations mostly fit the pattern of being places where elves lived, Bangkorai possibly being an exception, and they also mostly linger around ruins, the idea of wispmothers being elven ghosts of some special variety has a lot of merit.
I used to think they were directly linked to the Falmer in some way and their musical note noises in TES V suggest something about tonal magic but the appearances in other places suggest elves in general is more likely.

  7. the Pale Lady was the first wisp mother i ever saw. when i later encountered a regular wisp mother, i got a bit of a shock as i thought it was the Pale Lady again. soon realised that it was a regular enemy, but that was a cool moment
