  1. The thing that keeps any deckbuilder from top 5 for me is that late ascension in them pretty much always kills build diversity. You end up looking to build roughly the same decks because it's the only thing that works well enough to be remotely consistent.

  2. I think we all know in our heart of hearts that Noita is the true winner
There's just something special about a game having overwhelmingly positive reviews with every last one of them saying they hate the game

  3. 14:50 i make the comment at this exact moment in the video: if circadian dice will get to the finals i'm literally going to unsubscribe because i disagree so heavily that i don't think i'll satand it anymore. 19:10 thank god you have some sanity left

  4. seeing 3 of my favorite roguelikes (risk of rain 2, nuclear throne, dead cells) out of the bracket so fast is a bit disheartening but at least i found some more roguelikes to sink 50+ hours into 🙂

  5. Skul is a phenomenal game. The most recent updates this year have taken that game to a new level og greatness so ignore the crazy man speaking who has eaten too many jalapeños today.

  7. Hey, thanks for the love for Revita, made me buy it and it's been a ton of fun. Most 2D platformer roguelikes (besides Spelunky) just never hit for me, even Dead Cells, but Revita has me addicted to roguelikes all over again.

  8. I agree with the Nuclear Throne vs. Circadian Dice choice. I have absolutely adored Circadian Dice, it not only is a really enjoyable roguelike that doesn't suck 2 hours of your day just to play 2 runs, but has high replayability, many characters, the relics are extremely fun to interchange AND it manages to feel unique. (Can't comment on it against Crypt of The Necrodancer, never played it and I stay blind to games.)

  9. slaps bracket Yup. This is the winner. I'd have skipped all the hoopla and just said everything else is in second place.

For real though. Play more RoR2. It's probably still not YOUR type of game, but your experience will be wholly new and better.

  10. Problem with RoR2 is that it shouldnt be rated against roguelikes: RLs are about decision making and minmaxing full and through, only decision making you meet in RoR2 is trishops. It's a third person action shooter/slasher, but roguelike elements still draw it back from being an amazing Action Shooter experience, like ultrakill, dusk or deep rock galactic are. Hopoo Games are in full on development mode for the next game rn and they seem like they learned a lesson and gotta deliver some great experience regardless of the genre (deadbolt 2 fingers crossed)
