  1. Hey Kevin i had a thought today i was curious if you would have any insight into it.

So ive taken fin topical and oral and even at .25mg every other day i had severe sexual sides. I cant seem to tolerate dropping my DHT without feeling absolute trash.

I rememeber hearing that most of the DHT that js problematic for follicles is DHT that is actually made ON SIGHT in the follicle.
Unfortunately Even if you use something like topical finasteride, it inevitably goes systemic and still causes brutal side effects for some people such as myself.

So my thought was this and perhaps you can let me know if this is in the realm of possibility. What if somebody used a potent topical five alpha reductase inhibitor such as topical DUT or FIN and then supplemented exogenously with DHT.

What if you did something to elevate the systemic levels of your DHT while nuking it at the follicular site with the topical. I have never once heard this mentioned or discussed anywhere, but if systemic DHT levels were held in a normal range, could that prevent the sexual side effects while also enabling the use the topicals to nuke DHT at the follicular level?

  2. random question: Lets say i have hair shedding from minoxidil after stopping for one month, then go back on treatment. How long would it take for those hairs to return after starting again? assuming it's just causing general hair shed and not all from androgenic alopecia.

  3. Hey Kevin, I have a question. When applying minoxidil, do I have to rub it in, or can I just let it sit on my scalp like I usually do? I’m trying to maximize the results of the temples of my hairline.

  5. Can you talk about what causes permanent hair loss. The hair loss model has been explained a lot but I don’t get why Fin doesn’t regrow the scalp fully. I’ve heard that scar tissue forms but not sure if it’s true for younger people.

There’s a Reddit post about Cyanidin 3-O-arabinoside speculating about pattern baldness ending up being the same as general aging, which is cellular senescence.

Besides understanding what causes permanent loss. I guess it’d be nice to also know how DHT causes hair loss. We know it causes it but I literally saw a model where DHT was blocking and shrinking hairs physically, like it was displayed as a physical plug lol. Don’t think that’s how it works.

  6. Have you done any videos on the possible connections between creatine use and hairloss? I started lifting and taking creatine (monohydrate) and about a month in, I experienced hair loss like nothing I've ever experienced before or since. I had long hair at the time, so it was very noticeable and overt. I've seen a lot of other guys mention similar. But the scientific evidence so far, is somewhat weak.

  7. Hey Kev! I'm using Dutasteride 0.5mg EOD for hairloss and it's working really nice so far, but the thing is since it's every other day sometimes i forget if i took it the previous day or not. I wanted to know if it would be fine to use every monday, wednesday and friday and not use it on the weekends so that way i'm always consistent with it and don't have to worry if i forgot to took it, is it fine to use it this way since it has a long half life or would I be losing some of it's efficacy on the long run?
