  1. If you are going to go with a dedicated compressor setup go with one with a tank. The air that comes out of it will be more consistent in its pressure and you will have a much quieter time. It will only turn on when the air in the tank is depleted.
You can add a tank after the fact to a compressor, but its more expensive and not really worth while.
If you aren't going to get a compressor with a tank, just get a cheap 30 to 50 dollar compressor and see if you like it.
I have both and now I just keep my cheap compressor to blow off dust off of minis, its kind of nice for cleaning my work area.

  2. HAHA I'm so glad that someone else agrees that the milk consistency is stupid advice! There is no good rule to thinning, you just need to practice and test before you apply. I do want to say that you should dump your cup out when you're done with a colour, not spray it out as this will help to prevent clogs.

  3. My first airbrush was an Iwata I purchased in 2020 for a little over $100. Not too fancy but not so cheap either. Oh, and if picking your teeth with your needle is wrong then I don't want to be right.
