'The Ukrainians have been able to inflict heavy losses on the Russian Black Sea Fleet' | DW News

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg hailed Ukraine’s recent gains in the Black Sea as a “great achievement,” after Kyiv said it had destroyed another Russian warship near the shores of Crimea.

“The Ukrainians have been able to inflict heavy losses on the Russian Black Sea Fleet,” Stoltenberg told a news conference. “And this is a great achievement, a great victory for Ukrainians.”

The Caesar Kunikov amphibious ship sank near Alupka, a city on the southern edge of the Crimean peninsula that Moscow annexed in 2014, Ukraine’s General Staff said. It said the ship could carry 87 crew members.

  1. China can help , just need money.
China's shipbuilding capacity is 232 times greater than the US, per leaked US Navy intelligence.

A leaked US Navy briefing slide with the information circulated online in July, per The War Zone, an online newsletter. The slide was titled "PLAN vs. USN Naval Force Laydown," and appeared to be marked "unclassified."

According to the data seen in the slide, China's shipyards have a capacity of over 23.2 million tons, more than 232 times greater than the US capacity of less than 100,000 tons.

The slide also appears to contrast the "battle force composition" of both navies, taking into account "combatant ships, submarines, mine warfare ships, major amphibious ships, and large combat support auxiliary ships."

The name of this ship is in no memory of one of those soldiers who died exactly on the 14th of Feb. Friends in Ukraine are very nice people amd showing thire loyality to source 😅

  3. The guest knows full well one main reason why the counteroffensive didnt work was lack of air supoort provided to soften up the Russians. No NATO forces would have ever been asked to undertake an offensive without this, yet western advisors had no problem with demanding this of the Armed Forces of Ukraine 🙄

  4. No-one will deny the millitairy skills and endurance of the Ucrinians,., but sure we have questions about Nato and EU, if they are capable and skilled to do their duties and commitments,. It is now 2 years in this horror war, it costed 1 miljon soldiers and thousands of innocent citizens their lives,, and still Europe is not fully mobilized to face Russia,. or to support Ucraine to end this war for once and for all,.,. How many humans must be sacrifized, before Europe is up to date to defend herself against dictations of a trump or putin?

  5. There is no relief for the troops, the soldiers have been rotting at the front since the Ukrainians do not want mobilization.

ONLY 10% of patriotic Ukrainians have gone to war since 2014.

The same families who suffer, the same children of soldiers, the same patriots and their friends.

The rest of the Ukrainians, 90%, some support the army but from afar, and the majority, have not changed anything in their lives, on the contrary many Ukrainians are getting rich thanks to the war.

Ukrainians fill Turkish, Bulgarian and Sri Lankan beaches.

Restaurants with dance clubs, discos, gyms, etc., abound in Ukraine.

How do you want to help a country whose own citizens are indifferent and ungrateful?

The majority of Ukrainians are ungrateful towards their own soldiers, so imagine towards our Westerners…

I'm not talking about corruption and the mafia.
