Do you know the Finnish prog rock band called Wigwam? It´s a great band. Here´s my 5 Favorite Title Tracks right now. They are in no particular order :
Iron Maiden : Powerslave ( Fear of the Dark comes very close )
Motörhead : Ace of Spades

Here´s my 5 Least Favorite Title Tracks :
Mötley Crue : Girls, Girls, Girls
David Lee Roth : Skyscraper
Kiss : Psycho Circus
Twisted Sister : Love is for Suckers
Ozzy Osbourne : Black Rain.
Great video gents! My favourites are (today!)…
Thunder – Backstreet Symphony
Kate Bush – Hounds of Love
Dire Straits – Brothers in Arms
Rainbow – Long Live Rock 'n' Roll
Villagers of Ioannina City – Age of Aquarius
Worst was harder, but I've come up with…
Def Leppard – Slang
Motley Crue – Generation Swine
Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band – It's A Mystery
Uncle Sam – Fourteen Women…Fifteen Days
Little Angels – Too Posh To Mosh
Highly entertaining always. Some favorites from artists not often mention on SoT:
Phoenix – Dan Fogelberg
Incense And Peppermints – The Strawberry Alarm Clock
With A Little Help From My Friends – Joe Cocker
The Captain And Me – The Doobie Brothers
School's Out – Alice Cooper [mentioned often but, for me, the best title track by Alice and the band].
and perhaps, shockingly, Fools Game by Michael Bolton
Thanks again, guys, for the entertainment. Looking forward to your year end wrap up show to come. Format sounds interesting. Cheers!

Recapped by TammyAI
"Houses Of The Holy" by Led Zeppelin – title track on the WRONG album! 😁 Any other examples of this?
"Perfect Strangers" by Deep Purple – a fantastic track and, I think, Blackmore's favourite Purple track.
That stout sounds outstanding.

AC/DC – Let There be Rock
Accept – Restless and Wild
Least Favorites:
Black Sabbath – Forbidden

AC/DC – The Razors Edge
Accept – Too Mean to Die
Some others:
1. Toys in the Attic – Aerosmith
2. Head Games – Foreigner
3. Screaming for Vengeance – Judas Priest
4. Don't Look Back – Boston
5. Grand Illusion – Styx
6. Number of the Beast – Iron Maiden
7. Cat Scratch Fever – Ted Nugent
8. Draw the Line – Aerosmith
9. From Now On – Glenn Hughes
10. Medusa – Trapeze
11. Victims of the Future – Gary Moore

Doing my xmas shopping in the UK and typed in 'aunt bessie' and THIS popped up – "Northern Monk Aunt Bessie's Jam Roly Poly & Custard Pale Ale 440ml"… it's from the ADSA…. I wonder which one of the UK end of this show will be the first to try it… i've ordered one…. they also do a "Don't Mess with Yorkshire Rhubarb & Custard" pale ale
Wow didn't see that coming….. Steven Reid giving Born to Run the thumbs up!!!!
Love me some Wig Wam!!
5150
No Place for Disgrace
Aqualung
Wish You Were Here
Draw the Line
Honorable mentions:
Terrapin Station
Gutter Ballet
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
Master of Puppets
Bomber
Fear of the dark is a moment in the set when you go to the bathroom and buy a large beer in the bar 😅
Another cracking show. Thanks guys.
Bula Quo – Film is mega. Should have got some Oscars and a sequel..
Burn by DP would be my favourite
Least favourite: take your pick from anything by the loathsome band that are Motley Crue. Dr Feelgood for example. Derivative nonsense.
Somebody is clearly oblivious to the homage to the film the Warriors.
With the line and bottles. At the start of the song.
Fair enough. The Warriors is a great film
I’m with Simon I could play all day with pish title tracks.
Great episode! Steven, actually Come out and Play is a take-off on the movie The Warriors, which i think is pretty cool! But i do agree with you on The Last in Line, one of my favorite Dio songs!
Great to see Seven with Inside Love, couple of picks which only contain part of the album title would be The Oath from Don't Break The Oath by Mercyful Fate, Welcome to the DCC off Dead Club City from Nothing But Thieves , or is it Dundee City Council? Anyway apart from the obvious Burn and The Last In Line, i would go for, Alcatrazz – Island In The Sun, AC/DC – Highway to Hell, Tobruk – Wild on the Run (being a Bedfordian), Motorhead- Ace of Spades.
Favourites:
1. Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath – Also Sabbath Bloody Sabbath; Never Say Die; …
2. Gary Moore = a tie: Still Got The Blues and(Slight Cheat) Thin Lizzy – Black Rose (Track title isn't quite the same as the album title)
3. Pink Floyd – Wish You Were Here – on many occasions I've gone into shops where the track is being played, and I find I can't leave until it has finished!
4. IQ – Road Of Bones- a band I only know of thanks to SoT (Steven Reid) – even though I live close to where it was recorded (I just don't get out much?!!).
5. AC/DC – Highway To Hell / Back In Black – Highway To Hell will probably remain my favourite album, but Back In Black possibly just edges this choice….
HM. Jethro Tull – Aqualung
Least Favourites:
Black Sabbath-Paranoid; Bruce Springsteen-Born In The USA – both primarily because they've been so over-played.
Note: Various people selected Genesis-I Can't Dance, which is also a bit of a cheat as the album title is We Can't Dance. Interesting that some artists almost always have a title track whereas others rarely do….
As per my comment re. Genesis (which, now I've watched the programme, I find Pete said too!) – Steven also "cheated" with Bula Quo – as the track title (if I've got it right) is "Bula Bula Quo (Kua Ni Lega)". However, "Rockin' All Over the World" was a good one by them (imho).
How about top ten bands from Steven / Simon
Great show, as usual, I wish you all good health for the future.
top 5
Toys In the Attic… Aerosmith
Excitable Boy …Warren Zevon
Terrapin Station…Grateful Dead
Ain't Life Grand…Widespread Panic
L.A. Woman…The Doors
Best title tracks
ELP – Trilogy
All the Young Dudes – Mott the Hoople
David Bowie – Heroes
David Bowie – Station to Station
King Crimson – In the Court of the Crimson King
Worst is very difficult as the best track seems always to be the title track for some reason ?
You guys give me hours of entertainment, brilliant shame you’re not on TV , the licence fee would then be worth paying ❤
Some of my favorite title tracks:
-Deep Purple: "Burn", "Perfect Strangers"
-Ozzy Osbourne: "Diary of a Madman"
-Savatage: "Hall of the Mountain King"
-Black Sabbath: "The Mob Rules"
-Dio: "Holy Diver"
-Alter Bridge: "Blackbird"
-AC/DC: "For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)"
-Iron Maiden: "Powerslave", "The Number of the Beast"

-Van Halen: "1984"
-Iron Maiden: "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son"
-Pink Floyd: "The Final Cut"
-The Who: "It's Hard"
-Rush: "Roll the Bones"
Thanks lads and cheers for a great year of shows, excellent.
Absolutely need to add to the SoT 2024 list is a Bob Seger album ranking.
Burn is the greatest song of all time. Period.
Favorite title tracks (picking from artists I generally like, otherwise it's too easy 😃):
Megadeth – Peace Sells … but who's buying!?
Marillion – Script for a Jester's Tear
Metallica – Master of Puppets
Mercyful Fate – Melissa
Deep Purple – Fireball
Least favorite:
Iron Maiden – Iron Maiden
Black Sabbath – Paranoid
Fish – Internal Exile
Rainbow – Long Live Rock 'n Roll
Megadeth – The World Needs a Hero
Lots of good suggestions but I’m restricting my list to music that I paid for – best title tracks in ascending order
AC/DC Highway to Hell
Deep Purple Stormbringer (being contrary I prefer it just a little bit more than Burn)
Gary Moore Victims of the Future
Saxon Crusader
UFO Lights Out
I can only think of two that I loathe
Judas Priest Turbo Lover – just awful vomit 🤮 inducing
Def Leppard Hysteria – absolute garbage
Faves: 1. Band on the Run; 2. Back in Black; 3. No Place to Run; 4. Hounds of Love; 5. The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway
Stephen, thank you for mentioning Fear of the Dark. Can't stand that song or that album. Needs to be retired.
Here's some favourites:
1. Magnum – Vigilante
2. Marillion – Script for a Jester's Tear
3. Queen – It's.A Kind Of Magic
4. Iron Maiden – Powerslave
5. Motorhead – Ace of Spades
Pink Floyd – The Final Cut (yes, I'm one of the few that loves this album).
Great show again guys! 🍻
