I'm from joplin missouri, but have lived in springfield on an off for years now. I live there now. The parking garage was never torn up, they used ground penetrating lidar. They did find some anomalies that raised a bit of suspicion, but they couldn't be sure enough to go through with the expense of an excavation. Also, you should look up the murder of Steven Newberry in Carl Junction Missouri in 1987. It's a story for sure.
Good evening, Fellow Weirdos. Note: If you find a little brown bat in the house, use a net to take it gently outside. Mine was about 2 oz and had six little white teeth (no, I wasn't bitten, but she wanted to let me know she had some. They're great insectivores). However, a friend in N. Zealand caught/released a fruit bat that weighed about a pound. I think I'd worry about that.
