The Two Times Zombies Talk to you in Call of Duty

In this video, we discuss an Easter Egg in Die Rise where zombies talk to the player as well as a vast mishearing of a zombie groan that led to the creation of Samantha Maxis.

  1. I didn't notice the zombies were talking on die rise. I just dismissed it as some weird a$$ zombie groan saying gibberish. I guess I didn't listen closely.

  2. It reminds me of the zombies in Dead island. I’m every game you can hear the explosive ones say stuff like “get away” or “run” kind of adds a creep factor knowing they’re still slightly conscious of what’s happening

  3. If you ever played resident evil revelation I believe, the ship captain last words before he die…. was may day, and when he turned into an infected, all he says is may day while trying to kill you…

It's sad, and scary at the same time. 😢

  4. I always thought they said Sam because of Richthofen talking to Sammy all the time and the zombies started to pick up their convo and started heading to the transit crew for help from stu

  5. While flawed, I loved the overall presentation of World War 2 zombies. The amped up horror and gore worked fantastically and I loved that the zombies communicated, adding a much needed layer of depth

  6. I never once realized that the Zombies in Die Rise could be speaking— I always assumed it was strange ambience sounds similar to Verrukt’s haunting atmosphere and voices in the halls.
I believe Kevin Sherwood’s Carrion actually alludes to the zombies being somewhat conscious, as the lyrics can be interpreted as being trapped in a damnable body forced to watch as it commits horrific deeds.
