I can understand the arguments not to drop it, except for the “it shouldnt have been a populated city” argument. They bombed 1 populated city, and they still didnt surrender, they had to do it 2ce before Japan got the picture.

Japan surrendered was not because of the two atom bomb, but they know exactly the red army advancing at a very enormous pace…
Everybody can sit there and speculate oh they should have done this oh they should have done that but unless you're in the position that they were in back then and you see your young men dying by the thousands coming home in caskets with flags draped over you don't know what decision you would have made until you have experienced and if you were there
The video misses a few important points… In WWII Japan there was no such thing as a "civilian". All Japanese civilians were recruited and expected to fight to the death. The US only had 2 nuclear bombs. It would have been tragic to drop one or both on lesser targets and have the war continue for months. As it was, even with massive destruction and deaths, Japan still came very close to not surrendering. It's fine for us here in the 21st century to look back and play Monday Morning football but people were dying in the millions and whole cities were being destroyed. The war with Japan had to end and the 2 atomic bombs used to end it saved millions. Also, consider that the USA having actually USED the atomic bombs gave future enemies (Soviet Russia for example) pause…Enemies of the USA have been thwarted by just the threat of the US using nuclear weapons (knowing that they WOULD indeed use them if needed).
Since American lives were saved, it was worth it.
But they didn’t. Simple. Japan didn’t surrender when told before hand.
I like the video but there’s still a lot of missing.
The bomb was not the solution, the solution was for the USA to leave, not to go to the other side of the world to invade with silly excuses.
Japan shouldn't of sucker punched us, that's not to mention the cruelness of their military. Given what they did to the US, their own people, and other populations, they got off lightly.

They just wanted to see nuke effect on people. Nuking Japan wasn’t necessary.. There was no existential threat to the USA. But USA does whatever they want, so yeah

A lot of people still think it was justified and also they are questioning the brutality of war. I mean what else is expected from an enemy nation. Nobody wants to surrender. Everyone has ego of their own. Everyone loves their country and think their country is the best. Atleast they should have stuck to attacking military areas first before dropping bombs on heavily populated civilian areas . Had those areas been destroyed, war would have ended at last with less casualties among civilians. Anyways it is past now and we should ensure nothing happens like that in near future. 👍
