  1. I hope in Elden Ring they won't be reusing the sytem from DS3 regarding empty armor slots. In DS3, any emty armor slot doesn't just give you no defense, it lowers the damage absorbtion (I think?) you get from the other filled armor slots. It doesn't just not help you, it harms you.

That basically means, you have to wear something in every slot, and I personally don't enjoy being forced to do so.

Here's a video abput how defense in DS3 works: https://youtu.be/2MKc9ejlUYs

  2. You have the least amount of build freedom with the wretch. It’s not a class for a good build early, and it’s not a good class for fine tuned or min maxed stats. It’s for challenges and people who don’t know how they want to play.

  3. Lots of Wretch hate out there going around. If you can't spare a few levels to win a pvp match being Wretch opposed to another class isn't really going to matter honestly.
Low level run with wretch, back up save, adjust stats according to mood.

    Wretch good.

  4. I have a question i cant get an answer to from anyone, can you decrease ur stats as a wretch from 10 to lets say 8 so that u have more points for another stat?
Because other classes do that, for example warrior has lower faith (i think 8) but alot more dexterity

  5. I see what you mean about build-freedom, but Wretch is actually not the most optimal if you have a preconceived notion of which character archetype you want to pursue. If you are solely going to play PVE, then go for whichever class you want for the lore – I love that. But if you want to PVP at the meta Soul Level 125, you will want to optimize your build. In that case, wretch = bad. Google "mugenmonkey elden ring starting class optimizer" and you will see what I mean.

  6. Wretch is only optimal for very few end game builds. Trust me I thought the same thing until I educated myself on min maxing. If you don't plan to PVP then it's whatever. If you plant to PVP you will eventually delete your wretch character because it is so not optimal. Don't hate me for speaking truth.
