The Troublemakers

Bootsie and Apple are sweet and affectionate Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, but they can turn into loudmouths when they see a squirrel in their yard.

  1. Oh my gosh 😯I absolutely love this video ! I thought I had the only cavalier that barks, jumps, runs from window to window and is so filled with excitement at the squirrels, birds , leaves blowing around and of course the doorbell. I felt like I was listening to and watching my Bella🐾❤️your cavaliers continue to steal my ❤️

  2. Yay! Puppy report! Looking forward to it. Yours sound a lot like my three. They'll ask to go out and as soon as I open the door, they run out (usually at warp 9 speed) barking furiously to let any birds, rabbits, chipmunks, etc. in their yard that they better get out! They love to chase things, although I think zoomies come in a close second.

Me gustaría mucho saber tu opinión . Me doy cuenta lo mucho que sabes de cavaliers y lo que te gustan .Muchas gracias 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘

  4. My friend had a sweet cavalier that barked a lot, even more when she was excited. I had 2 cavaliers, Morgan, who would bark when someone knocked on the door or when she was excited, and Madison, who didn't bark at all. Madison was 5 months older than Morgan. Do you find that some Cavaliers are more vocal than others? I always thought that my Madison was more of a thinker.

  5. I'm watching your channel and it makes me feel sorry that my late cavalier lived most of his life in the Manhattan apartment, with only an occasional hiking trip or a visit to Long Island. These dogs are so much happier when they have a green yard to explore, as well as lots of greenery on their walking routes.

  6. Tag is so refined.

I knew Apple & Bootsie are really bonded. Is that typical? I don't see it so much with Boo & Bootsie

My tricolor barks at rabbits and birds – barely notices squirrels.

Mine barks but mostly while playing or to defend her house from the UPS man.

  7. I have a half Cavalier King Charles and half American Cocker Spaniel dog. His bark is high pitched like your fur kids. He barks at dogs and people walking past my house, but not squirrels or birds. We have to shut the doors so he can not see out to the street for peace and quiet. Love him so much. His name is Russell Roy Rugrat.

  8. Those darn dogs…! Troublemakers, that's what they are! And clearly it is that Great Aunt Tag that is the ringleader. She may stay in the background and look elderly and charming – but really she is pulling the strings of the entire gang. Still, 'they are good girls, really'.
This was a lovely video, such a nice thing to wake up to – but it begs a question: How do you train your dogs not to bark – or to stop barking when you wish? We had one little Cav ('Norm') who had seperation anxiety and would bark when we left, even if he was with the other dogs. He was a rescue. Any thoughts?
    Great series.

  9. The cutest “troublemakers” around! Loved this video! Are Jamba and Bella closely bonded to each other as siblings, and to their mother Lizzie? How did Apple, Bella and Jamba do at their last dog show? Looking forward to the puppy update soon!

  10. I know how many leaves and twigs come in attached to our ONE Cavalier. How do you keep on top of grooming all of your dogs?? We groom 6 days out of 7, and there are new mats every time. We don’t trim anywhere other than foot pads…
