The trolley problem is a classic thought experiment. Would you let 1 person die to save the lives of 5? Or would you decide not to intervene and let 5 people die?
"The worth of a soul is great in the sight of God." I wouks pull the lever, be torn about having done such an action ans do my best to find the person responsible for putting me in this situation. They will not die, but they will be brought to justice.
Well- it depends on the people- like if the one person was my best friend I wouldn’t do anything, but if the five people were five of my friends I’d pull the lever. But then if they we’re all people I hate I wouldn’t do anything
Sorry, but am i the only one who would pull the lever without thought? Yes, you kill 1, but you prevent 5 from dying. 4 fewer people die. We are all individuals who have a right to live, but 1<5.
People always forget the part of the trolley problem that you kill one man, or you do nothing and 5 people die, you do not kill the 5 people, but if you pull that lever, you murdered that 1 person. That's what makes this a moral problem: Is it better to kill someone to save others or do nothing and not kill anyone at the cost of lives.
The point of inaction is important, the idea that it's more moral to never kill is questioned. Is it more moral to prevent more deaths or is it more moral to never kill someone
I would not do anything

Would not pull the lever, it doesn’t matter who’s on the track. Only the single person is allow to choose and sacrifice his life for the rest.

I would not pull the lever because one should not suffer for the stupidity of the other 5.
