The Children of the Watch have a bad rap, they’re an offshoot of the controversial Death Watch organization and are described by many as an extreme cult. But in the most recent episode of the Mandalorian we’re given a much closer glimpse at how this organization operates, and surprisingly found many positive things.

I think that this groups adherence to tradition isn't positive since it prevents them from making good decisions for their own safety. For example them staying at a beach where monsters appear every 2 seconds and eat children. I get that they need to toughen them up, but when they die there is nothing to toughen up.
I disagree. I think that their dogmatic ways prevent them frome ever rebuilding. They will stay stagnant as refugees/warriors and eventually die out. Presevertion has to be followed by innovation to bear fruit.
In your discussion of Paz Vizsla, you didn’t mention one thing that I found interesting in this episode. When Din enters Grogu in the training session, the young opponent, who is the son of Paz Vizsla, claims that Grogu is too young and responds to Din’s statement, that the creed says that if you do not know, you should not speak with an arrogant “I know.”
When the boy loses to Grogu, the camera shifts to Paz, who is standing by the mouth of the cave. He is not angry at the result know does he claim that it was in any way unfair. He just quietly repeats the creed: if you do not know, do not speak. He was criticizing his son for his son’s attitude.
I was impressed with this.
15:59 I think I know what you tried to say but it completely sounded different XD
I love the idea of Mandalorians representing the Jewish diaspora and building on this I think Bo Katan represents Zionism which was the political movement to form a Jewish state in their historic homeland “Judea” or modern day Israel (in her case, Mandalore. On the flip side the armor is comparative to an orthodox or Hasidic Jew who believes that the best way to survive as a people is to hold on to their customs and beliefs. I could see this eventually becoming a conflict between the two of them with Bo wanting to take back Mandalore and the armorer fearing that if they reconnect the diaspora and another purge happens by outside forces it could mean the end of the mandalorian people. In real life Israel fought and won a war against practically all of its neighbors and won immediately after the state was created. With the empire gone (for the most part) Bo believes the fight to bring her people back to their home planet is winnable. If they’re trying to explain how the first order rises I could imagine them conducting a similar purge on the reunited Mandalorians and either they were sent back into diaspora or were completely wiped out as we don’t get any mention of Mandalorians in the sequel trilogy.
Right, this is right, children of the watch care about future, this mean that one of my theories can be even more likely.
What if they next location will be Nevaro? Although they can be at first unwilling to return here, they surely will see benefits when they get all the informations from Din, Nevaro prospers, expand, improve, it is on one of trade routes, it have rich, volcanic soil, and the foremost, it need potent military force to defend itself, yes, platoon of mandalorians will be overkill, but thay can always just settle there, some of them might work as security, some can travel to other places, since it is on trade route, Nevaro is close to many places, but if not bounty hunting, they can always just sit there, train and do all of mandalorian staff, if cave on the desert is enough for them, then some castle on rich volcanic soil will be very apealing place.
Also, i just wish to see them grab this pirate cruiser, reunite with mandalorians on the stolen imperial ship and build some geometrical castle, or destroy this pirate cruiser with imperial ship, retrieve shield generators and weapon batteries from it, then attach it to the castle and power it by geothermal power, creating strong fortress to safeguard they future.
If they truly look into the future, they homeworld will be the last place where they will look for making settlement, i think Filoni show us how Nevaro developed to make from it symbol of the future, and how mandalore get destroyed, to show it as a symbol of the past, because of that, they will settle on Nevaro, build there some mandalorian castle with beautifull, geometrical-shaped architaecture and iron diamonds attached to everything. Also, this can be interesting if they also bring here mythosaus, after someone tame him of course, just imagine, having not only mandalorian platoon to protect Nevaro, but also three flying beasts and city-sized monster, who lay from centuries within beskar-rich water, which can make him as good as invulnerable to even ship-class weapons. (Yes, there are Beskar particles in the living waters, if not, this colorful efect when armorer drop this water, will not ocur, since beskar react specificaly with beskar)
Questioning one’s beliefs is the mark of an advanced creature. Can dolphins do that? Don’t think so.
It’s the same kid that got taken. Same kid that got attacked when making his vows
the armorer is basically the tribes mom, ofc they would respect and love her.
This is the way
You are the one getting too dogmatic. Your videos are losing quality, but are still fun to watch
Children of the watch…very similar to the Spartians! Where honor and love of country is the way!
A solo Gogurt show, maybe 20 years in the future would be neat to see.
it's really funny, like that scene in Turbo when a crow just picks up a snail and everyone just accepts it.
If they need beskar to make helmet for just one Mandalor, how many Mandalor can they have befor their out of metal?
"A true warrior dose not seek battle nor do they relishe in it. But will fight should the need arises." I'm not sure where it comes from I think it fits the Children of the Watch. And probably more mandalorians who are not members.
The Armorer is not their leader in warfare. She is a religious leader, a priestess. She is seen as the wisest, not the most powerful. That’s why she is so respected.
Fantastic commentary I really like your style and presentation bravo end thank you. Look forward to all the new ones.
I remember reading something and I think the person who said this was a from Sparta i can't remember it word for word but. "Its only natural for the last generation to complain about the new because its changing but if they don't then something is wrong"
Great vid GenTech. I enjoy your content.
On point, as usual 😌
Ok not everyone born before 2000 are Boomers get your Generations correct. A Boomer, Short for Baby Boomer, are the first generation to be born after the great depression. I was Born in the 80's I am Generation X not a damn Boomer. Here you are spouting off about education of the next generation and you don't even know your own history let alone the names of the different Generations.
brah, did you think legends were legend?
Weird that not many people are drawing the connection with the mandolorians and tuskans. Both lost their planet and culture due to empires and were forced to adapt and persist. And both are being rejuvenated by warriors, i.e. Mando and boba. Shows the importance of strong communities over big government…
Owning your mistakes. This is the way.
Disney fu** everything
this may be my favorite video you have ever done.
It's arrogant not to believe in something without evidence?
It's not just boomers i myself think my generation is a bunch of weaklings generation
Bo-Katan has a dump truck.
