Val must have needed money desperately to appear in this poor variant of High Plains Drifter.
He rescued it from getting a thumbs down.
1.08:22. The executioner, in England, wore a hood to protect himself from retribution of the living, ie, relatives, friends or members of groups/gangs not the dead and at no time was the guillotine ever used.
The axe was originally the method of dispatch, which gave way to the rope, earning the individual the name of The Hangman.
It was France that employed the guillotine.
The tradition of giving the condemned man or woman a last meal was down to the superstition of the prison guards, who paid for it out of their own pockets, in the hopes the spirit of the deceased wouldn't haunt them.
Eventually, any prisons, where executions took place, covered the costs.

Every time I started to watch this movie I fell asleep. That's right, many start overs. That's how well made this film is. I had to know what it was about and how it ended 😃finally finished 👍👍👍it definitely held my attention.
