The track truck finally goes to work, and this first job is the PERFECT example of why I wanted to switch to the heavier vehicle for off road and snow recovery. The Jeep and @AmericanTrackTruck Dominators never failed me, and those tracks held up to far more than they were ever meant to. Switching brands was purely because I found a Facebook marketplace deal on the @mattracks that I couldn’t pass up, and were weight rated for the Dodge that I’ve been wanting to put tracks on for quite awhile now.
Nate at @elitefleetautomotive9181 built a hydro assist steering setup for it that is working great and other than that, the tracks were bolt on and go

🤔🤔🤔and the answer is……… IF Grumpy gets a play-date with Casey, isn't he going to be a whole lot "happier" when he's home around Mrs Grumpy??!! Absolutely!! Go have FUN!!🙃 Mrs G
Its always nice when the customer actually listens, i do off-road recoveries every once in awhile mainly in mud but its amazing how you tell people what to do and they do not listen at all.
Grumpy reminds me of an Elf standing there! 😂
That is a FAR better ice/snow recovery rig. Well done Casey.
This guy says Casey and Alan are liars and the Yankum product does not do what's advertised.
Gotta love Grumpy. ❤
Hi Casey, first time watching your channel! Just love it. You are so daring with what you do to recover the vehicles. Keep being safe and thank you for all you for the people that you are helping.
It’s too bad they don’t make a swivel so when you go around the tire and they spin the tire, it will twist your rope up
I agree tracks are much more useful on the Dodge. I really like the bed. What brand us it? Fits thr truck very well.
Gotta get you a Brand X Electrical alternator in that track truck! Plenty of juice to keep your winch happy.
I've also had good luck with Mechman alternators.
Truck looks good. Where can I get a bed like that for my dodge?
You never said you are good at that…….butyou get I done anyways 😊
OK so that track truck is a Beast…if I had one of those I'd actually love living up north again…excellent video. Great job..thanks for sharing
The wrecker would look pretty sweet on those tracks too, I think they are same bolt pattern.
Up close, those tracks are MONSTER! Awesome rig! Am I weird for thinking the OG RAM looks better than the shiny new one?
Good to see some snow videos finally! Too bad the snow missed the Christmas tree season, I’m sure there woulda been some content there haha
Why isn't Grumpy wearing a "I hate Casey LaDelle" shirt?
grumpy is funny the way he razzes Casey 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Casey, quick educations question for myself. Why not let those snatches roll when you're only hooking them single? And do you have a chattering of the contactors issue with the apex when you're away from the winch with the remote?
is that a certified mopar emergency brake
What bed do you have on the track truck
Hi Cassey,
Love the channel and content. And all the help and coments from Grumpy.
One question for you. Did you ever get you tandem axel Rollback back in service? Or did I miss that one. I have a chance at getting a Rollback like your first one you bought in California. By the way that was a great you tube adventure.
You and your group take care and be safe out there doing what you do best.
Rob
Don’t know if I have missed one of the videos of an explanation or not but I noticed you run the winch line is ran through both recovery rings instead of around it, I know it can be used either way but is there a reason why or is it just personal preference?
Tracked truck is pretty cool, cant wait to see how it does compared to the jeep with the kinetic pulls, I bet the weight will help a lot there too
Yo Casey, I hate you!! Got my shirt. I so dig it!!!
Curious why you're playing sir winch a lot it looks like your truck is more than capable of hooking up a strap and pulling it right out probably the cameras don't give the train Justice
Hey @caseyladelle the people want to know more about ole grumpy
Hello Casey, it's Jen from Freedare eBike. We've emailed you about a potential collaboration and are eagerly awaiting your response.
Fantastic!
That Jeep looks different somehow 🤔
I've been climbing trees roping and rigging them down for 28 years .I can't understand why you wouldn't just use a traditional snatch block with bearings versus using that friction pulley. I just watched Fab rats do a recovery the other day pulling out a truck with a trailer you could hear that thing causing so much friction resistance. The more harder you pull on that ring the more the soft shackles squeezed down on the ring creating resistance. Fab rats pulled so hard started making all kinds of noises and I work with ropes all the time you would never hear that with a snatch block it created so much resistance with his it snapped his wench line those are junk . The guy makes a good rope doesn't mean his ring works 😂
I love that you bring Grumpy with you. Ur a good dude bro. Love ur sarcasm and love ur channel.
Good work out there in the brush Casey. I ordered two Yankum off-set rings for my self-recovery setup. I use a little Warn drill winch, so I really need the force multiplier of several snatch blocks. Two light rings vs 4 heavy snatch blocks will really simplify my rigging! Yankum has a buy one get 30% off the second deal going too.
За заднее колесо тянуть было лишнее. Чисто набить время видео. Сдал назад и тянеш лебедкой. Он колёсами помогает.
Something i just recently figured out on my 2015 ram is for true 4×4 , hold the traction control button longer until tcs shuts off. Im sure you knew that already just wanted to let other people know.
Brilliant work ethic displayed by Casey! No dangerous shortcuts or hillbilly power trips. Safe, planned recovery by a man that knows his trade. Well done!
Hi Casey, how are you? Happy new year! What's the name of parking brake accessory? Used on minute 3:42
Hey Casey, who makes the winch mount that you have on the trac Dodge? Does it mount where the front tow hooks go??
So awesome to see the offical first track truck rescue. Indeed what a weird winter for Oregon. Awesome strategy pulling this heavy Dodge Ram out of the ditch and bank. Definitely gotta watch the slope and corners on these forest roads in the snow especially. Yikes Ethan that adventure got wild! Casey that was an awesome assist getting Grumpy into the truck. Which is sooo amazing on tracks! That truck sure keeps on trucking!
Good job👍
I wonder how well an excursion with tracks would do especially with a safe tuned 6.0. you would have way more torque to turn the track. Have room for gear and more crew. That would be a wild set up.
Even a v10 super duty I think would be a little more of a power boost while not adding a bunch of weight
Waiting to see how bad it has to be to get that rig stuck.
Both ropes should be going threw the pulleys, not the way u have it rigged threw the center of the doughnuts, ur just doubled back to ur same vector point and anchor point, which is totally fine as long as as it's a big enough anchor and if u gotta joing anchors to other anchors when it comes to geometry and vetor off vetor thats fine aswell when u domt have a big enough base anchor. I like those small doughnut shive rings, they r sweet. Don't have to haul around big giant have shive blocks. Expicailly when ur doing all the work or with limited man power. That's technically only 2to1, Coming from a certified rigger, rope access and rescue tech. And red neck lol. Which it worked just fine. But u never doubled the rope back threw either pulley "technically" u just redirected it back threw from the stuck truck back to the same base anchor/vector anchor
What's the part number on that winch tray? I've been looking for that setup for my 3rd gen ram 2500 but I'm failing to find one. I see that it's a westin but which one. Keep up the great content
What kinda work box is that? Would
Make for a great camping set up for my Truck.
😂 don't you know how to make round track's,can you only make triangular ones 😂
Grumpy sure livens things up with his banter. ( little bit better if you work at it) Legend…
👍
I remember when the Badland winch came out, people were talking crap about it, seems like those people now figured out it's perfectly capable winch.
Nice rig
