It’s giving Matty Healy!!
The production on this album is top tier. I want to see the reaction to the surprise bonus tracks 😂
Ok, I've been waiting all morning for your video. This is the 1st Taylor album I've listed to and my initial reaction is I love it. No, I don't know what all these "eras" mean because I've only liked a few previous songs from her. Yes, i will go back and listen to all the previous albums. But for me, as a new fan, my first play through was awesome. Just created a Taylor playlist in Apple music and just gonna load this whole album…now, I'll watch your video and see if you like the same songs I do haha!
You look great and you are so darn cute! Thank you for the reaction
"So High School" 💀😭
Someone said “So Long, London” sounds like how Mason Mount felt leaving London/Chelsea 💔
I want to know if you have listen to other 15 tracks on The Anthology? I have ‘Peter’ on repeat🫢
Doesn't have to be a bursting big song to be a single.
Love the album – really love the sound of Fortnight – just love it
Wow you complain about the songs a lot.
The Alchemy and So High School is about TK. 🏈🏆🤍
I can’t wait to hear your reaction to So High School.
Taylor recorded songs for this album until like November 2023 (Aaron Dessner posted a pic of her at the long pond studio back in November 2023) so the alchemy is definitely about Travis.
"The Alchemy" is 100% about Travis because there is a line in there where she specifically talking about the Chiefs " they said "There was no chance Trying to be the greatest in the league". This is referencing how the Chiefs were doubted the whole year by the media because they weren't as good in the regular season and were underdog in the last 3 games of the season including the superbowl.
I think the “pistol” in “I can fix him” is referring to his guitar 🎸
26:33 i can’t wait for the declassified story to come out for Smallest man
Her and Matt healey really had something serious going on and we just can’t even scratch the surface of what was going on there
26:33 I think she’s singing about all it girls, and who will be the next it girl; Olivia Rodrigo. I think that’s who Taylor is talking about when she says “you hit edge, she never did.” I think Taylor is acknowledging that just like every it girl, you eventually pass the baton, but Taylor wants to pass it on with the secrets she wished had been included when it got passed to her… and the foresight to know you’ll never know how long you get to hold it, so do as much as you can while you’ve got it.
Almost all the songs are about matty. Sadly I don’t think we will ever have any back ground info on that other then what she tells us here, bc her fans tore that relationship down for her
So long London definitely about Joe. He was out while she was at home. She left her home, America. She spent 6 years with him but alone. I feel like she may be hinting he was out at a club or bar with other women (co star) and she was worried every time he was out. Fresh out the slammer, I feel like is about getting out of her relationship with Joe and going to Matt. He was the rebound and maybe to give Joe a chance to want her again.
Gives fundamental religion community, maybe? Braid. Buttoned dress. Elders. Strict. Unable to marry in religious building. So courthouse.
But WE are the strict fanbase so we are the fundamentalists. About Healy i think
Completely travis
The Alchemy is absolutely about Travis. I love it. Think about it even in the song placement on the album, after all the heartbreak, anger and acceptance.
The Thanks Aimee track I think its about healing. She's dissing her for what she did in the past bit but also thanking her. If it wasnt for that, she wouldn't have grown up and it was a learning lesson to help her be the woman she is today. Not everyone is good and can be trusted. Taylor seems like a person who always sees the good in people and trusting. That taught her to be cautious and guard her heart. It also helped facilitate her "season" with Joe. I don't think Joe was her forever person. She may have thought he was but I think he was what she needed at the time. The with Healy, they probably knew each other as friends but timing was wrong. I think she showed he may not be thr best person for her and they got the fling out of their systems. Time will tell with Travis but I think he may be forever.
I laughed out loud in The Alchemy when she sang that “he joked that it’s heroin but with an e”. I think it’s a play on “heroine” but also how Trav spelled “squirle”
I have a bit of a long story but, it is something to consider with the song Clara Bow.
Clara was out of the twenties. Growing up her mother had mental health issues and once tried to attack a teen Clara with a knife.
Clara entered a beauty contest and won and got a change to do some walk ons in Hollywood movies. Turned out she was a very appealing person and people liked her. It was the time of flappers and party girls. Clara usually portrayed college or flapper girls. She was naturally and on screen a fun loving, party and happy girl. She fit right in with the mood of the times and the era. And Clara was a huge star. She was the 'IT' girl. Having IT. At the end of the twenties her ex-housekeeper came out with supposed diaries of scandalous sexcapades of Clara's. At that time it was career death. How true it was is unknown. I personally think a bit maybe – in Hollywood they were not saints. But, sleeping around with half the UCLA football team and around town every night is doubtful. But, the rumors and accusations stuck. It ruined Clara and her career. She married her current boyfriend, Rex Bell. But, the scandal drove her into a nervous breakdown. Afterwards her mental health declined and she struggled for the rest of her life.
In the 20s once a woman's reputation, even a huge star like Clara, is ruined it is never recovered. Career collapse is normal. And women were not free to be free or liberated sexually.
Either you stayed clean or you married.
I have not heard Clara Bow yet but, the story of Clara somewhat is similar to Taylor in the set up, destruction and almost ruin of the person and career she suffered by Kanye and Kim. If the song is not about this then the irony is apparent anyway.
I think fortnight is a prologue of sorts for the whole album. I love you its ruining my life-Joe and loved you for only a fortnight-Matty also there is references to other songs on the album like Florida.
she referenced Janet Jackson in Snow On The Beach but I think that might be the only other time she did it.
Help- I thought Florida was a political statement?
