Thank –you– Anthony! for Archbp. Vigano's letter! He spells out what we're facing; Card. Ottaviani stated that the New Mass is >a striking departure from the liturgy and theology of the Council of Trent.< And that was at the start of it all, before the Novus Ordo was even implemented. He warned the Church's faithful that >essentially a new religion and practices< were being set up. Did bishops then stand firm to defend Immemorial Sacred Tradition, the Immemorial Rite of Mass, the >unchanging teachings< of Our Lord Himself handed down to the Apostles and their successors…? LoL!
Well, yes…. just two (2) bishops did! That was clear and came to a head when Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre AND, joining with him, Bishop Antônio de Castro Mayer– the "Lion of Campos" (Brazil)– consecrated the four bishops to ensure that the Immemorial Mass and Sacraments of the Catholic Church would continue despite the "reform"/changes imposed by Paul VI after the Second Vatican Council.
Whether or not one agrees with Lefebvre's and Mayer's actions or not, it IS BECAUSE these prelates stood firm–and uniquely so, Archbp. Lefebvre– that today we're able to even talk about any of this. It is BECAUSE OF Lefebvre that the Immemorial Mass and Sacraments of the Catholic Church have continued without interruption. It is BECAUSE OF Lefebvre that Archbp. Vigano is even able to address the crisis facing us. Ecclesia Dei, FSSP, Institute of Christ the King, Summorum pontificum… All followed >as a response to< Lefebvre and his actions.
Those promoting Modernism– plus all the errors and heresies condemned by Ven. Pope Pius IX and Saint Pope Pius X– are in charge for now.
But the Modernism-infected hierarchy will NOT succeed in getting rid of the Church Jesus established.
Our Lord told His Apostles that the >gates of hell will Not prevail against His Church< AND, Jesus' Own mother at Fatima said, "In the end My Immaculate Heart will triumph."
Padre Pio said the Rosary is "the weapon!" And Mary to St. Dominic called it "the battering ram." So… many more we need to pray.
And, too, we gotta remember what Our Lord said… that some demons are ONLY defeated by >prayer AND fasting.< And they're plenty those around: Padre Pio said that if we could >visibly< see all demons around us, they'd błot out the light of the sun!
(!!!: It's a travesty what John Henry Weston reported on his broadcast [later half of 2022] that >ALL< modern Bible translations have deleted Jesus' words–His explicit teaching, and it's also unanimous teaching of the Church Fathers of Our Lord's Church–that >fasting IS necessary with prayer< in order to defeat certain demons. (Matt. 17:21.)
That verse is NOT in modern Bibles. ALL Catholic bishops and Protestant ministers that Only use modern translations ARE falsifying Our Lord's teachings by >deliberate misrepresentation in omission< of a central Christian truth.)
Everything going on today in the Church, not to mention all the woke, globalist agendas being pushed in the world, ARE conected to spiritual warfare, with knowing or naive forces fighting against God's teachings. So it's doubly insidious to NOT disclose what is an >essential< part of spiritual warfare.
St. Padre Pio pray for us.

The Vatican II Religion is substantially different than the Catholic Church, therefore a Catholic should have nothing to do with it. Any Pontiff who has positively promulgated the Council or its teachings proves himself to be a formal heretic and is thus ipso facto excommunicated and outside of the Church, holding no valid office.
Vatican II was a totally invalid Council as it had one foot with Jesus and the other with Satan and the sinful world. As Jesus said, "Whoever is not with me is against me" (Matthew 12:30) and in the Book of Apocalypse: "So because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold-I am about to vomit you out of my mouth" (Rev. 3:16). Vatican II is the Council of SodoModernist Vomit, Satan's SodoTheology, the worship of infinite ugliness and repulsiveness. Resist!! Viva Cristo Rey!!
the post-conciliar church is a shadow. these are the 'fruits' of the last 50 years of the 'spirit of the council'. the vatican 2 church is slowly dying off with its devotees, baby boomers, groovy crowd of 1960s, that's why regular parishes are shutting down and are being turned to rec halls, mosques and temples. what will be left of it are real catholic communities that currently are being chastised by the highest levels of the clergy.

I had the exact same sentiments after I read Alcuin Reid's article. The hermeneutic of continuity is some ways reminds me of the synod on synodality–a never-ending squaring of the circle.

They may say it is only here in US that they find resistance, but as a Brazilian living here in CT, I can say that many in Brazil are seeing what's going on and they are fighting for people to return to the traditional Latin Mass. It is not the ever increasingly changing 'contemporary man' who demands the New Mass of 1970 as if it were a well defined Liturgy to the exclusion of the Mass of the Ages but those within the Church who define contemporary man ever new and tell 'him' what he wants. Sacrosanctum Concilium didn't prescribe much particular liturgical revision at all. However, it indeed wrote a blank check to some thitherto unknown "experts", even to adapt the liturgy to various cultures, even "radical adaptation". All along, the modernists were the "experts" in mind. Thus, the novus ordo was not a revision of the Roman Rite. It was a new rite; a modernist rite; a non-Catholic rite.

I love everything vigano says, but I'm sorry to see him going into the weeds on Vatican ll and the novus ordo Mass. There is certainly much about Vatican ll that can be criticized and needs clarification. But it must be interpreted in the light of tradition, as Pope Benedict XVI instructed
