  1. Yay! You're checking out The Terminator! First things first….can you maybe move that candle over a few inches? All through your outro you were gesturing with your left hand but I was totally focusing (and worried) about how close your right hand was to that candle. LOL!

Second…another great and funny reaction. The moment that really got me was at 15:04 when you were trying to figure out the pregnancy. "….like she's pregnant now or like in the future or like shut my mouth and I'll find out." 😆🤣😂

As for the familiar faces, you caught Bill Paxton (RIP) at the beginning with the blue hair. Kyle Riess (sp?) is played by Michael Biehn…and the familiar cop with the dark hair at the police station is Lance Henrikson. All 3 show up in Aliens….directed by James Cameron. 😉 I believe The Terminator was one of James' earliest movie directions. I think maybe his 2nd movie.?.? And like many directors he continued working with the actors he liked.

(Incidentally, if you haven't already…check out The Abyss, directed by James Cameron. It's an incredible film, COMPLETELY underrated and doesn't get much attention. But it also has Michael Biehn.)

Looking forward to your T2 reaction. It'll clarify the thoughts/impressions/recollections you were describing at the beginning of the reaction.

PS…as I was typing this out…your reaction to Scream 2 cued up. Please, please, please check out The Godfather. In terms of telling story through character, it's AMAZING! I know your AND Marc's comments would be SO GOOD.

  2. 16:01 “I see similarities with Terminator and Michael Myers”

Fun fact: James Cameron cites John Carpenter and Halloween as one of his influences for The Terminator. So Terminator is in fact, literally Cameron’s sci-fi version of Michael Myers.

  3. One of my favourite movies ever! I know at lot of people say that Terminator 2 is better, but they're wrong. 😜
Glad you finally realised Reese was Michael Biehn/Hicks in Aliens! (another James Cameron movie)

  4. You used to be able to start a car by connecting wires that ran yo the ignition switch, but the way they showed in TV and movies was BS
You can't do it at all now because the computer in the car won't allow a start signal to go to the engine unless it detects the RFID in the key fob.

  5. I always decide whether or not to subscribe to a reaction channel based on its catalogue and virtually nothing else. I avoid channels where all the movies are very recent, or where they are all aimed at children, or where there are too many series. This film pushed me over the edge to subscribe because of it's very high quality and the fact that it's older than the 90s. I guess I'm along for the ride now.

When judging the special effects, remember that not only is this old, but it was also low budget.

  6. You probably recognize Reese from this movie due to recently watching Aliens. I agree that with all the warnings about AI taking over, in real life we’re running towards it as fast as we can.

  7. Since you're watching Game of Thrones and you're going to be watching the Terminator movies I thought you might be interested in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles which stars Lena Headey as Sarah Connor.

  8. Reese (Kyle) is played by Michael Biehn. He was also in Aliens. He was Cpl Hicks the marine that gave Ripley the locator watch and taught her to use the gun and grenade launcher. He was also Coffey in James Cameron's The Abyss.

All in all, this movie has three actors from Aliens in it, Michael Biehn, Bill Paxton, and Lance Henriksen.

  9. 26:26 "Oh $#!%!" for real. 😏
This was the moment I first cursed in front of my father. I had rented the movie and we were watching it together. When I realized that I cursed when the Terminator stood up from the fire, I froze and glanced over at my dad. He was staring at the screen with his mouth hanging open. No lectures for me that day about saying 'bad words'. 😊

  10. I always have so much fun with you! T2 is well worth it, but I don’t think I saw any of them after that, or if I did they weren’t memorable to me. Good eye catching Bill Paxton, I had forgotten about him. Since you like car chases, you may want to check out The French Connection and Ronin, both car chase movies of note. Dig the shirt! Peace …

  11. Reese was Hicks in Aliens. You already noticed Bill who was Hudson. The detective was Bishop. Vasquez is in T2. Cameron likes to recycle actors. They wanted OJ to play the terminator but Arnold walked in and stole the part with his robotic nature. Plus they were concerned OJ was too nice to play a killer. He was right up there with Bill Cosby back then as America's favorite nice black guy.
