  1. I love the low poly aesthetic, but I would prefer that games make the PS1 features optional, like Ultrakill does. I was strictly a PC gamer in that period, so the wobbly dithered look does nothing for me.

  2. Reproducing these artifacts isn't pleasant, just UGLY. There's also no skill or artistry needed, just disable some hardware features that have existed forever, add a round() to each vertex position and that's it. Yuck. Pixel art at least takes some skill to create.

  3. I get the nostalgia about 16 bit pixel graphics. Maybe even about Quake style graphics. But the wobbly Playstation 1 graphics are just so ugly to look at. The PS1 had no FPU, no Z-Buffer, no mip maps, used affine texture mapping … compared to the N64 it was more of an imposter when it came to 3D graphics. No, I don't need such retro games in my life, sorry.
