2010 to 2019 were turbulent years in the prebuilt computer market, with such stagnation that the media declared the death of the PC outright. But instead of dying, they evolved, with increasingly eye-catching and experimental designs. So let’s look at systems from the decade that really stood out for their design and significance!

But… but… you just do old stuff, and this is like from, 2012… 2013… oh my god
We still have a Predator 21x at the LTT offices, it comes in its own Pelican style roadcase. It might need a new home one day!
Hi LGR, excellent video! Do you know when you will make another sangwich or ramon video?
The Predator is brilliant and it opened the door to a whole bunch of large computers with everything you ever needed: usb ports, audio connections, ethernet jacks, the works; I'm writing this from my fat boy MSI GT-75.
One interesting thing to note about the Trash-Can Mac was that the maxed-out dual-GPU model had such bad thermal management, that you could get video artifacts caused by super hot Vram chips. Contrary to popular belief, the internal volume dedicated to the triangular heatsink would likely have been enough, if it was designed correctly. It has a few very thick aluminum fins. Had it been a finely finned copper unit instead, it would've still been hot, but not hardware-gore literally-begging-for-death hot.
I want one of them predator 21xs… nobody makes big laptops anymore
Steam Machines though
yeah, weird stuff,, weird razer event too..
8:53 IT'S THE OKAMA GAMESPHERE
Seems like Apple was "Balenciaga of the day" back in the previous decade, contorversial designs and that trashcan mac is a cherry on top.
Its weird to see that 2017 9k$ superlaptop was so massive yet just a few years later way slimmer and more powerful machines are common place, technological progress is amazing
im a woman and i do have to admit….. i really like the way the floral kiss looks… 😳 buts its really stupid that they made a 'laptop for women' as if women dont already use laptops
thank you for adding metric, aka "literally everywhere except the US" measurements
I've been trying to track down a Volta V for the last couple years with absolutely no luck whatsoever.
I dont see a promblem for a girly laptop.
Oh no, this lovely little miniseries is running out of decades!
Not unless it back tracks to past ones that were not covered yet. or there's been crazy ones in the last two years, which I doubt.
1:43 bruh I would straight throw my trash in that by accident even if I OWNED it lmao XD
That Fujitsu Computer is a bit like the Canyonero F-Series. Instead of a CD Bay it has a lip stick to pull out.
I actually really liked the Alienware one 😀
I remember when I had some cash and was looking to buy a beast PC, I was genuinely stuck between the omen box and the Alienware area 51. Both were just fantastically out there!!
love this channel
1:53 :0 if that case was transparent that'd be a dream to own.
The design, and modding of pcs and the the structure and components of the cases in 2010 were a millon times better than now, now all pcs are the same, all cases have the same shape…just a box…cases used to have awesome designs
This is like a list of future OddWare videos and I love it
My favorite trend: getting 8 or more cores in a (relatively) affordable laptop.
ah the good old days of weird computer cases. i gave up on them over a decade ago and now just have a rackmount 4u chassis in the basement, with a usb 3.2 and hdmi 2.1 cable running through a vent conduit to my living room QLED tv. i mean, what else do you really need? these days, people visiting are always stumped…where is the pc? lol there is no spoon. everything is hidden away, zero noise, clean and neat look.
For some reason, the Floral Kiss reminds me of an old 50s car called the La Contessa – it was designed with all of these florishes & extras (including a matching umbrella & raincoat set) to appeal to women, but then they learned that performance is the most important selling point for a car to women as much as men, just like a computer.
Dual triple laptops should become a thing. Added a second screen to my laptop but it's just a 60hz run over usb-c and 13" instead of 15.6".
The thumbnail of this vid reminded me of 'best of the worst', at a glance.
Ah, the Alienware computer brands. Out of all the gaming PCs in the 2010s these always enticed me to go into PC gaming. Sadly I knew I could never afford any of these nor would my mom be able to spend that much money to get one.
As soon as I saw the Zotac, the first thing I thought was "Oh my god they did it…they made the Game Sphere… IT'S SPHERICAL!"
Death of the desktop. Gotta love hyperbolic media sites.
I worked for the company that made the housings for the "trash can macs" back in 2014, and I saw a guy dump an entire pallet of freshly completed housings off of the loading dock, destroying the majority of the units pretty thoroughly. I thought our boss was going to literally murder the guy, lol.
Anyway, don't hire tweakers.
That Omen looks like the logical 2010's model of the NeXT PC.
no they were good! and surely better than any computer nowadays..
Do you know what motherboard this is, it says it is the ibm Ultimedia 9577 Motherboard-39G6086
I miss the weird 2000s and 2010s PCs. They were so unique compared to how standard everything is nowadays
3:48 so that was the Xbox of the time?
See you guys in 2032 when LGR will talk about 2020s! Adios!
anyone else think CDO sounds like a cursed combination of 3DO and CDi
Does anyone know where I can buy reasonably priced PC big box plastic protectors?
weird question but I've seen your synth setup video and I was wondering would you ever do and pc build for old DAW's as this is something I'm trying to do myself and I'm struggling because there's hardly any info on this topic today and I've never built a pc before if you could help let me know or if anyone reading could help let me know also
The Floral Kiss laptop is so hilariously patronizing you can't even get mad at it. It's as if a roomful of marketing professionals all sat around a table and tried to answer the question, "What descriptive words do you associate with women and femininity that aren't too sexual?" and after two hours the best words they could come up with were "Flowers" and "Lipstick/kissing."
Hi Clint,When do you plan to post new videos on the LGR Foods channel?I really like those videos as well.Thanks.
Laughed all the way out loud at “computers for women”
What about cyberpower's syber machine models. Not newer models but ones think came out 2014 or 2015ish. Pretty much similar to current c series models
What is crazy to me, is my last PC Build was in 2004. If I recall, it was a Celeron 500, Nvidia Geforce 256 DDR, I think 32 megabytes of ram (I'll be honest, I can't remember the ram). It had a Soundblaster Live card (that should date me a bit). It served me well in my college years. It had a good run until 2009ish. Then I took a hiatus from PC. I skipped this era of PC building.
