Yakirisu, often known as simply Yaki, was once a rising star within the VTuber community, with her gaining a not of notoriety thanks to her association and collaborations with YouTuber Alpharad. Yakirisu was bound to become yet another VTuber to make it big online. That was until May of 2023, when several of Yaki’s former friends and associates came forward with their stories of how Yaki mistreated and hurt them, to put it mildly. Seeing other people affected speak out, I wanted to thank you for being so thorough in your review of the timeline. Everyone affected has moved on with their lives for the better, myself included. I do want to elaborate on some aspects of things on my end.
As you mentioned, I moved in with Yaki because I did not want a good friend to lose her home. Initially moving in with her was cheaper for me, but that was not my main factor in doing so, and quickly did not become the case due to the expenses I was expected to front as explained later. Obviously I had no idea about the abuse Hazel went through prior. The version of the story she told us was basically that Hazel was the irresponsible one and didn't help around the house, but learning about how Hazel was abused as they were, I can only imagine what Hazel was going through and why they had to escape from Yaki like they did, especially considering my circumstances.
In regards to the noise situation, as you said, the house had thin walls and our rooms were across from each other. I am a loud person and do take some fault for that, but she completely glosses over that I could in fact ALSO hear her on her own streams from my room all the time too. I feel as though this just something you have to accept if you are living in a house with multiple people who are all active at around the same time, but I digress. As a result, I tried to avoid doing any audible activities at all while she was streaming, but even then, it was not enough for her as even trying to keep my voice to a bare minimum volume in casual calls with friends would have her banging on my door/wall and sending me aggressive messages.
Also I'd like to elaborate more on the car situation. Prior to me moving in, Yaki's car was completely inoperable and needed big repairs. For the entire 6-7 months I lived there, she claimed she had no money to fix her car (which ended up not being true since Nathan sent her all that money specifically to fix it) and would borrow mine, but made me pay the gas on the car even though she drove way more than I did. When I told her I was moving out in my last month living there, only then did she actually attempt to get the car situation resolved and just outright bought a new one.
There is obviously much more I can talk about (not that I really want to because I wanna be done with this already) but I did wanna just build on some points you discussed.

Ya know technically she’s lowkey right pretty privilege exists, and is most likely caused by an animal instinct to pass on our genes to the most physically fit humans so then our children look good so they can spread their genes. So ye I can see that she’s technically right she could get away with anything if she played her cards right she’d get away with murder but the problem is that we as humans have the ability to think. We are somewhat above that want and instinct to breed, therefore she would not get away with everything around some people.
What was the point of taking the pokemon smash or pass part ultra seriously and acting like it was some super weird thing when it was literally just a trend/meme that everyone and their mother was doing around that time? Now, not paying her editor, and pretty much everything else? Yeah, inarguably heinous. But like tacking on something that was literally one of the funnier trends from the last year or so and offering THAT as evidence? I mean it seems like a weird thing to treat with the same seriousness as scamming or abuse.
Another content creator from the Pokemon fanbase ended up being a shitty person?

Dude this was great! When you first mentioned this story to me I thought that Sean's testimony was the craziest, but damn I could not have foreseen all of this other stuff that went down. Also, I've been reading the comments and it really seems like there are a lot of people who are involved that are happy to see this video come out. This video randomly showed up in my recommendeds yesterday and injust finished watching it at work. Im confused because i have not even head about this vtuber situation or even know if i have heard of this yaki before.
If her downfall was on twitter in the winter of last year im not surprised i didnt hear about it considering the hogwarts game drama and pikamee being bullied. Also im not on twitter much.
And to touch on a point of yours yes i do gwt wary when i hear about drama wondering "oh god what did this person do?" Especially in the vtuber space. After that whole vshojo debacle that one Thanksgiving i have noticed all sorts of vtuber drama from indie ones to corporate ones and ever time it seems like some fresh insanity on display.

I was, and still am, a little surprised that other Twitter artists who interacted with her on the daily (Dawn pfp girl to mention one) haven’t even had anything to say since the initial impact. Granted internet friends are only so informed, but as far as a community can reach, you’d think a few popular artists would apologize at the very least.
