  1. Frankly, I'm not happy with the "hero specs" because essentially they're killing class skins by making many of these. The other side of that is that they're using several WarCraft terms completely out of context to what they're supposed to be. Keeper of the Grove, for example, is a hero unit from WCIII and is literally ONLY a male child of Cenarius and counterpart to the dryads. You wouldn't make dryad a hero spec, don't make Keeper of the Grove one. (Sidenote: I really don't get this for druids, as they literally have a Druid of the X for every spec they could have just gone with.)

San'layn is another great example. These were literally high elves who had been turned by the Scourge and, much like Death Knights, kept a bit of their free will and intelligence. But, again, it describes specifically high elves that were turned a certain way – that's why an elvish word is used to describe them. They're also closer to (blood) mages than Death Knights, but I digress. Dark Ranger is another spec that should never be available to all races. Herald of the Sun for paladins is entirely too close to Sunwalker, the tauren paladin-specific term for the class/race combo; a Voidweaver is literally just a shadow priest so that makes no sense; for warriors, no one but a dwarf can be a Mountain Thane (hell, no race besides dwarves even HAS Thanes); Shado-pan is literally a closed organization to anyone who is NOT a pandaren.

In short, the hero spec unveil told me all I need to know about how serious this new, reorganized WoW team was about righting and correcting the lore and bringing it back in line with what WoW and it's story used to be.

  2. Idk if I am alone here, but I would not even play MMOs without dps meters. The most fun part for me is perfecting my damage, seeing my progress from my gear, etc. I don't care if its personal only, but without it, I am just mindlessly clicking. I do definitely agree that parses and especially simming, should not be allowed.

  3. How would I do hero specs? I wouldnt. I would just add more specs even if they are just subtle or visual changes than the original specs, but also add them to allow for extra playstyles such as swashbuckler rogue tank or necromancer priest… then to kinda of break that need to "ok we need 1 spec for class" which would just feel forced and contrived (which is how hero specs feel to me), I would release 1 or 2 a patch.

  4. "Blizzard doesn't add somethign that is fun if its unbalanced"
I wanted to point out Evokers, but then i realized you are still right, as thos are not even fun.

Also, forbidding all addons would be stupid, when Blizzard UI is shit. Can't imagine playing without Luxthor's WA

  5. The beta hasn't even been launched yet and the guys are already killing the expansion. Those nostalgic for wow classics don't accept that everything has to change, not always to what some people might expect, but changes must come.
