  1. I believe with my whole heart that God sees each of us as His children, and looks at each with Eyes of Mercy. However, we must ask forgiveness. I also know, but can't say how, that while in a 5 day coma, my mind was changed about many things people now view as commonplace, but Jesus sees as the most sinful. Our world, (and here I speak not of our fallen nature, but the natural law, created when He formed the universe) is being rocked by sin. God forgives 70 times seven, only if we endeavor to correct ourselves, but there is one sin that is rocking the fallen world right off it's axis. It is so egregious, God's natural law responds. It can't help but to respond.
A life is never for us to take, because we had nothing to do with it's very formation. This is even more true because of the way human life is created. If we happen to be one of the two who were there, at that very moment, we have the sacred duty, each different. One is to protect, the other is to nurture. For this reason, certain institutions were raised up and have remained in place since Roman times.
As I said, I had a view of my own, until the coma. The die has been cast, so I was given to understand. As in the day of Jonah, prayer, reparation, fasting, and abstaining from certain activity. Mostly prayer, because when we look at us and think "I'm a good person", if we knew what the Father sees, we would die of shame on the spot!

  2. The Voice and the way you become the character, it is just good story telling. I remember people who around the campfire could do pretty good too. Especially at Halloween time, make chills go down your back.

  3. God has a special place in hell for evil people like the step mother and the father!!! I wish I had a place big enough to take in all the little children that are not wanted by their poor excuses of parents!!! A precious little boy lost his life because the stepmother was having an affair with numerous men and didn't want to be outted!!!!! That's pretty darn near as Evil as one can get without being the Devil himself!!!!!

  4. I bet when you were a kid, you were the one with a flashlight, pointed at your face, around the campfire, late at night, telling the best scariest stories! And everyone was scared to go to sleep! Lol
    Love it! 🙈

  5. Hi JD! Poor little Roy Rickey, what a horrible short life that precious child lived. The stepmother was pure evil and all the days she lived in prison wasn’t long enough for what she did and how she treated little Roy Rickey.

No child should be abused, neglected or killed. My husband and I adopted a child that was abused.

I can’t tell you the nights this child was tormented with nightmares. I would sleep with her so she would feel safe.

Anytime we would meet someone in public she would hide behind me.
I took her to a therapist for 2 1/2 years. Thank God the therapist was able to help her. We showered her with love, affection and stability.

Today she is a perfectly beautiful woman. I have never regretted adopting her, but thanked God for putting her in my life.

    R.I.P. Roy Rickey 🙏

Have a blessed weekend with your family!

  6. Spooky story ! Little Roy sure had a poor life at the hands of who ever did this.If the step mom did this-shows she had no love for a child to do this.Or anyone for that matter. Thanks for telling us all about it,JD.Have a blessed weekend!

  7. This is a new story to me. You did a wonderful job of telling it. Where did this happen? If it had been in my home area of Kentucky, most of the adults would have been talking about a sorry woman like that. Some of the women may have tried to run her off (in fear that she would steal their men).
