In the 1970s, Soviet engineers conceived the ideal stealth fighter. It was the middle of the Cold War, and the nation needed a modern, multifunctional fighter.
As Sukhoi developed the next-generation S-57, the company kick-started a new era in aviation for the country. But never did they foresee that the Soviet Union would fall apart before their dream stealth fighter came through.
The cuts in funding and multiple delays dragged the project into the 2000s, but the Sukhoi-57 was still ready to serve its country, albeit in a different shape.
It didn’t matter if the S-57 was conceived 40 years ago; it was more than ready to compete against the finest American aircraft…

The analyst doesn't think Russia has air superiority in Ukraine ?!?!
I'd take a brand new production F15EX over one of these SU57 prototypes thanks.
More Russian garbage. The Ukraine war proved that Russian equipment is a paper tiger. Literally since they are deploying with cardboard armor.
Seen in Syria on bombing raids and In Ukraine it took out a UA Su-27, there are videos of it flying by in Ukraine
Because they don't want it to be exposed for the fraud it is….
To me, it seems that Russia is promising the world, but only able to deliver a stone. Same old story.
I honestly don't think its a threat, from what I've seen in pictures and videos the production quality is garbage, the F-22 and 35 cost what they do for a reason. Making aircraft stealthy is hard and requires precision that no other aircraft need.
Just like their Stage Prop T-14 tank. All of Russia is built on a lie.
I don't think the Su-57 can do anything the Russians claim it can.
Russia is afraid to deploy the Su-57 and T-14 to Ukraine because they know both would get destroyed, lose all of their mystique, and fall into enemy hands. Their absence speaks volumes.
Su-57 is not a 5th generation fighter. Right now, it's just a pretty pile of junk, not nearly as capable as Russia's sales hype claims. They can't even keep their demonstration models together. The demo models were impressive. Of course, take all the armor and armament off an F-22 and it would perform impressively, too.
I think it’s a very nice looking jet but I never understood why the cockpit connects so low, it looks like it blocks the pilots view
Russia and the USA extend a salute of gratitude to a defeated Germany who were forced to give up their awesome aerospace and aeronautic engineers so we could have these programs.
Remember the Mig 25 Foxbat? It scared the hell out of western air forces until a Russian pilot defected and flew his plane to Japan. Turned out to be a 5G waste of sheet metal.
Nice looking but Russian made. They're almost equivalent to 'made in China'.
To me, the Su-57 looks like a clone of the F-22. It’s just that the F-22 is the superior jet.
Instead of pulling Russia toward the west the west has pushed them toward China.
Missed opportunity or all part of the plan?
I don't care how good the SU-57 it's 6 combat ready planes aren't able to fight 187 F-22's and 860 plus F-35's
It's not a bad looking jet but nowhere near as sexy as the F16. The fighting Falcon is the lamborghini of jet fighters.
Russia says a lot of shit, but never backs it up. And is getting it's ass handed to it by Ukraine. That pretty much sums up Russian *claims*.
is this really a video about the SU-57?
because your video about the su-27 was half of it showing footage of mig 29.
did you fixed that one ?
More like they don't want the rest of the world to discover its a piece of crap.
Awesome Channel
Its Russia ffs they probably have half a real one and 13 made from cardboard and hot glue haha
Finally a true competitor to the F22… if they can manage to actually build it
I’ll have 7 ch33rs 🙂❤️💪🏼💅🏼✨🎨🇦🇺
The SU-50Never would have been a contender 30 years ago.
To be honest the sanctions are backfiring on us. Russia was wise to back their money with gold. If anything Russia needs more western talent in their aircraft industry. With our decline under the Biden administration they may yet receive that kind of talent.
moreover
There's no-way this is anywhere near "stealth. You can visibly see all of the exposed rivets, screws, and panel gaps that would ruin any claimed "stealth" capabilities lol
Because Tom Cruise can shoot down two Su-57 in an old beat-up Tomcat?
Well it looks cool at least.
This thing is an absolute monster and I believe is armed with twin 30mm and on-board or at least a symbiosis with ground based low frequency radar able to pick up stealth. Able to out manoeuvre the F-22 at any height, it's faster, has a longer range, higher ceiling and more internal weapon storage and that's with the temporary engines it's using.
It’s not stealthy, it’s ‘stealth curious’!
A 1970s design… so retreating Russian soldiers are liberating those VCRs to upgrade the SU-57?
what movie making program do you use ?
What bothers me is how generally speaking, most kick ass aircraft, look kick ass. I have to wonder if design starts with a flash gorden idea and then becomes reverse engineered to make it work?
Sounds pretty good compared to the laughable F35. The US is now upgrading F15 and 16’s, 1970’s designs, to fill the gap.
Never heard of this S-57 he talks about before
Wow, the S-57 sounds remarkably like America's F-35 joint strike fighter. Waaaaaay over budget, does nothing well and everything else poorly.
I’m glad the corruption in the Russian military industrial complex has hobbled the Su-57 program. And it made for a good antagonist in top gun 2.
SU-57 = Vaporware
It could be the fastest, stealthiest, most agile, and most technologically advanced fighter in the world. But they have built less than half a dozen serialized production models to date. When (a big if) they hit that production goal in 2028, the US will have over a thousand F35s in service. To lose any sleep over this jet is completely insane. We should be making fun of them at every chance.
Viktor Belenko"s grandson defects with the SU-57, lands in Japan….and the US says "nah, we don't need to look at it".
These cylindrical engine sections and nozzles are extremely non-stealty. A circle has always a part of it that is perpendicular to anydirection a radar beam would come from.
They should’ve called it misdemeanor! 😂
