  1. Discovered your channel less than a week ago and I'm loving your videos so far! Binge-watched a good bunch of them already and they are peak!

Would absoilutely love to see more of your takes for pre-columbian civs, particularly interested in what you could come up for South American civs. There is potential Theorycrafted civs here! Here are a couple of them:

    -Araucans/Mapuche

    -Guarani

    -Calchaqui/Diaguita

    -Patagonians/Tehuelche

    -Het/Pampas/Puelches/Querandi

Keep up the great work and cheers from Argentina!

  2. I don't think they appear that much in campaigns aside from maybe Sundjata 2. Wherein the "Niger" player would probably be located where Songhay lands would be. Or where the "Labe" player is. I think this scenario occurs around the northern bend of the Niger, with the western player along one of its tributaries, being named after one. But I have to say, many of the scenarios have players I have a hard time figuring out. But the rest of the scenarios occur further down the Niger river, away from the Songhay heartland, the way I understand it.

  3. Heck yes, More African history! Ethiopea is my favorite African Kingdom, but it's always great to see more, especially ones that are actually relevant to the time frame and are well researched, and don't feature, say, anachronistic elements that belong to several different cultures in miles and decades apart…

  4. A great build, centered around mounted units. I like the emphasis on them as everything is logical. No elite skirmishers as their mounted units benefit from gambeson. The only weird thing is the access of halberdiers as their camels would destroy mounted units.

  5. Awesome as always. Although its anachronistic, id love to see you do some videos on civilizations from antiquity. Ive always loved ancient history more than medieval and sadly, it doesnt seem like Forgotten Empires will ever do a proper Age of game for that era. Probably because they dont want to take away from regular AoE2 player base. I cant mod, but id like to live vicariously through your builds lmao

  6. What I do miss is some sibirian kind of civ… Aoe2 even features a "real world" map of sibiria. I could imagine some Wolga-Bolgars & Bashkirs (turkic cav.civ.), Merya/Mokhsha/Muroma (finnic arch.civ. with heavy forest bonuses -> Could be featured in some kind of "rise of russia" campagne) and Ostyaks/Nenets/Mansi/Chanti (ugric cav.+arch. civ, maybe normadic, maybe similar to the Khitans, they prosumably related to the ancient hungarians) 😄

  7. Great job as always, I can tell that you've done a lot of researches. And I'm glad to tell you that my Songhai build is different from yours, mine is more focused on their cavalry and trade aspects instead of their navy.

  8. Great build. Like the new length of build vids.
Like the RU Tierkei with blocking conversion. Great idea.
If im not mistaken, I thought the Genitour was used by the Spanish against the Berbers.
I think they need to have the War Canoes as a regional. Also War Canoes are need in the game.

  9. If they are still oppressive even with the wood issues, losing crop rotation as another less efficient use of wood might help. I do love the dock aura idea of affecting smaller areas of water near to shore, very clever way of portraying the freshwater dominance.

  10. Awesome! I've made Songhai builds and have wanted to see one for a while. I have ONE complaint: where are the trampling cows?

In that disastrous battle against the Moroccans (if I remember correctly), they tried to set a herd of cows to trample the Morrocans. Unfortunately, the sound of gunpowder scared them and sent them running back at the Songhai…

It might have failed, but c'mon. Wr need more gimmick animal units.

  11. I knew you'd say it wrong. As someone who has an african mother, I can tell you that it is not song-hai. You say it Son-guh-ee. In their own language it is Soŋai, with ŋ being NG.
