I didn't do bridges when I was a kid, but I pretty much always used something like 30 minute of peace. I just loved to just do the economy without any fighting until later ages

Is it possible to reduce the range of all range units on these maps by 2? That would probably encourage a more varied meta.

Watching a lot of those "smallest" in my breaks. Perfect length for them. But I noticed one thing, why are people rarely building any soldiers early on? A lot of the maps feature "free" access to the enemy, since everyone has villagers they evade each other until they get towers but men-at-arms are not expensive, no? 5 – 7 early on could already be devastating, stopping/destroying a lot buildings including towers while the villagers can barely do anything against them
