The Sinking of Swedish Ships -Global Belligerence , Oct 1942

On October 28, 1942 the Swedish freighter, Bengt Sture of Trelleborg disappeared in route to Oxelösund from Danzig with a cargo of coal.
To get an idea what kind of dangers and threats the Swedish merchant ships were subjected to, we need to take a brief look at the global situation in the fall of 1942.
