  1. honestly, i am surprised you all are surprised by the pro-bloodbath responses. activist twitter tried really really hard to tell you how their justice and politics mechanisms work. they were open, they were yelling it out infact. 150k+ likes posts winking at violence do not crop up by coincidence, you know. you just pretended and hoped that those who actually believed what they wrote, liked or funded dangerous orgs were in equal numbers as the modern day KKK. you're cute.

here's the critical thing to understanding progressive politics that's anything beyond biden: they really always said optics is more important than facts. they always said that presenting a fact in itself is a political stance when you decide to focus on it when you could have focused on something else (progressive slogans). they hate the mere topics of discussions that do not directly advance progressivism policy. were you sleeping when they wanted all those speakers out of university, including centrists? what the fuck did you think that was fueled by? you thought they were just big hulk mad and did not operate under a coherent sentiment of weaponing optics with the conscious goal of demonization and gradual radicalization push?

democrat capitalists underestimated and failed to understand, COMPLETELY, anyone to the left of them. the socialist/communist blocks actually are roleplaying and wishing for a bloody revolution – the only difference is that they are too lazy to start it, but they will absolutely follow a big wave were a big event to happen (big hint here: george floyd and the difference between protests during its week and any time after).

you guys are mistakenly assuming that being lazy to start a revolution and not being at the frontline taking the biggest risk equals to people uninterested to join a possible revolution at any point. you absolutely do not understand how many americans would actively support a revolution when the conditions for it breaking out look strong. you need to comprehend, a good 20% of your democrats are those people waiting in the wings, waiting to fill the 2nd line of attack, to destroy your fucking continent.

the moment the US gets its own hamas, is the moment hundreds of thousands of people will aid them, becoming the biggest terrorist organization of the world within the week. you democrats are absolutely naive and cute. and you better fucking deal with that danger instead of focusing for 8 months on the j6 unorganized riot – you have absolutely no idea what a good chunk of your left is prepared to do.

  2. Amnesty International’s new investigation shows that Israel imposes a system of oppression and domination against Palestinians across all areas under its control: in Israel and the OPT, and against Palestinian refugees, in order to benefit Jewish Israelis. This amounts to apartheid as prohibited in international law.

  3. Back to the magic wand thought experiment Sam made 9 years ago, if the Israeli authority waves a magic wand, what it will probably do is displace all Gaza Palestinian to Egypt, and with this magic power Egypt will have no choice but to accept, same goes with West Bank to Jordan, it'll be a humanitarian crisis, an act of unethical colonialism similar to the worst of Americans and British throughout history minus the mass murder thanks to this magic wand, it likely could not care less about uprooting people from their homes or how they're treated at the other end. Israeli settlers will move in and claim the territories, they will erect even stronger borders, and consider Israel "whole".

If Hamas waves the same magic wand, there'd not be a single Jew left on the Earth tomorrow.

  4. I think Sam has lost sight of the phenomenon of desperation. If the Palestinians or Irish Republicans or 19th Century Natuve Americans had equal resources and global support to fight a gentleman's war, they would. All of these cultures have or had sophisticated concepts of honor, but a cornered lion will do what it must.

  5. Sam is a fascinating individual, with a lot of keen insights. But I always found his view on Islam vs western culture and Israel Palestine to be more on the binary side. If you expect open air prisons of the kind in Palestine, rife with hopelessness and poverty, not to produce violence you are kind of naive. Religion does indeed play a key role too. Intent is not the only factor in a conversation like this. Context is also a key factor.

  6. I wonder what Sam has to say about the moral high ground that the US takes in invading the Middle East on false pretense, killing its civilians, and sacrificing their own soldiers as "collateral damage". This is the 'civilized' form of barbarism which the jihadists practice in its raw form

  7. These things may all be true, but did Israel have to steal land to exist, and has it never returned the stolen land? If so, then come right out and say it alongside of the discrepancies in war ethics.

  8. Slave rebellions are always quite bloody.
Nat Turner's slave rebels massacred every white family – including children – they could get their hands on.
And I'm sure white southerners at the time said Exactly what Sam Harris is saying here today.
Sam – your comments are dripping in racism & hypocrisy. Shame on you.

  9. It’s what we already know, feel deeply in our bones. Sam might, more often than not, be preaching to the choir; but while we can hum the tune, he knows the lyrics; indeed, has written them with perfect eloquence.
