  1. Watching a great documentary of VICE about them. The Simpsons were on Fox. Fox was on about 20% of the TV's in the country. Fox was willing to let the creators of the Simpsons do anything they want just as long as Fox had something to air. Fox did not have enough shows to fill and entire week. This is why the Simpsons were so on the edge, Fox did not care what they did.

  2. The questions asked during a meeting for a Simpson's episode these days:
    1-Does it have a story?
    -Yes.
    2-Are the Simpsons in it?
    -Yes.
    3-Is it family friendly?
    -Yes

"Alright guys, we have another episode. It's 11am. Let's go to lunch."

  3. I have been watching the Simpsons my whole life just about. I still watch every season and to those who no longer like it I dont get it. Personally I find many of the newer seasons better than some of the old ones. Maybe to those who no longer love or like the Simpsons have just changed tastes without realising it.

  4. Simpsons is a difficult one as i look back and im torn between the brilliance of the first dozen seasons but where it should have ended greed and money were obvious and the show went downhill very quickly. Theres not many things i rather avoid on tv now than the shows current form

  5. People should stop assuming the show is still bad. Somehow, it got good again recently! Fresh story ideas and really snappy satire. There must be new blood in the writers room, it seems like that "experimentation" referenced in the video is really paying off, very few lazy or subpar moments which for too many years have been insulting to the longtime viewer.

  6. When I am in a bad mood or have a bad day, the Simpsons are always making me forget what I am going through and just make me laugh, huge nostalgia with this show also and watch it regularly even at the age of 26. Such a classic! The first 12 seasons are just golden. After that, the show kind of dropped in quality but still is watchable and had moments of laughter!
