Dumb question…can you not play the caro kann with white? Is the move order called something else? Thank you
60 minute video?? π€©π€©
I'm just starting in chess and I'm in love with this opening. I want to specialize in it and Alex has encouraged me a lot with his videos. Thank you!
First game Fantasy is probably the best line against the Caro but can lose fast too. It's the only variation that I have abandoned.
f4 is not a suspicious move… nor is any logical move. If it looks weird, but IS the top move, then it's suspicious. Also if they play perfect moves consistently.
Game 2 Whites best move is to take c5. Most people don't know that so you get fun lines as black. Protecting the advanced pawn with f4 or Nf3 is normal theory. I think he studied the Botvinnik-Carls a little bit.
Love these videos, they help my chess a lot!!
I'm almost 1700 and the carro is still as effective, it's thought of as a draw-ish opening for black but you almost always end up at least a pawn up in an endgame
So far, my opponents have played nothing like in here… π
So glad you covered the Fantasy again. Iβve noticed more and more streamers recommending it, including Danya Naroditsky. Would appreciate more videos focusing on this variation with 1500-2000 elo focus when they wonβt fall for the quick loss π
Game 1: After white played Knight C3 as a counter too bischop C5. Black can play Queen B6 and you suggest Knight A4 (7:45 in vid). Black can check with the Queen on B4 and take in the next the knight?
My quesion, how does Knight C3 work as a counter to this trap?
theres a whole channel about 1 opening, ran by a young GRU – fascinating.
Just lost two games in a row, back to mid 900s. Got too cute on my last game. I need your guidance Alex.
I wish they didn't resign so fast π I Wana see how you handle just a pawn end game
9:35 I think he heard you somehow hahaha
17:32 hahaha bro my lungs came out due to laughing ππππ
Absolute entertainment when Banzeus gets worked up and prepares to punish, 16:54
33:06 1.R-c8 blunder. Allows 2.B-h6 smite and loses the exchange.
Wrong. My which I mean, 'I'm wrong.'
I like your content but you talk entirely too much β¦. Comment the games more
Do your non e4 games go to another video?
Hey when will your course come out?
best caro kann teacher
Watched video. Immediately played. First game fantasy variation, 6 move resignation. Second game – put knight on e4 outpost with support from f and d pawns. This well-placed knight was so frustrating my opponent sacked their rook for this piece. I took with the f pawn opening the f file for my rook, a 2nd resignation soon followed. Thank you.
Yes brother
Everything is good except opponents ratings
