  15. I just realised, there is no north star when watching the night sky rotate around the pole… or am I to believe the north star isn't actually true geographic north? ๐Ÿ™
    I mean, I know its not exactly north and it arches a little but its not noticeable and even so, there isn't bright enough star close to the rotation center of the night sky

  21. I'm a physics student and OMG the physcis bit was so amazingly done.
    The use of true terminology like "curl", explained in such an easy way was stunning. You perfectly described one of Maxwell's equations, the curl of a a magnetic field being proportional to the current passing through, which is in a mathematical notation ๐Ÿ”ปxB= mu โ€ข J, with the triangle multiplied by B being said curl, J current density and mu the permeability of space.
    It's so well done and I didn't expect such an insight into such a complex yet beautiful physics topic in a video about airport runaways

    Out of those million indicators, in modern aircraft anyway, is a navigation screen that displays your compass heading, usually on the aircraft symbol or one of the top corners, which the pilots rely on anyway as it shows them the route they have to follow on the flightplan they've set. If the autopilot is engaged you can set the heading manually and watch the aircraft's direction of travel change with the heading you've set.

    Also, the pilots will be thoroughly familiar with every switch, every display and every feature of the aircraft they're flying. How do you think they start it up from cold and dark?
