The Shemittah & The Jubilee | Behar | Aliyah 3

The Aliyah a Day is an in depth daily study of the weekly Torah portion (from Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy) according to the daily readings. Rabbi Griffin shares insights to the Torah portion from ancient Jewish sources which include the Talmud, Midrash, Zohar, Rambam, Rashi, Rabbeinu Bachya, Ramban, and many other commentators. #LapidJudaism

@Lapid Judaism is an end time movement of believers returning to a Torah-true Judaism centered on the belief that Yeshua is the promised Messiah of Israel. Lapid represents a return to the religion of the Messiah which was and is traditional Judaism.

Baruch HaShem, may the Ahavat Ammi (Love for my people) grow. We forever give praise and thanks to HaShem Who has given us Yeshua (ישוע), the Rock of our lives (Tzur Chayeinu / צור חיינו), He is the Messiah (Moshiach / משיח) of Israel!! We very much appreciate the important work of Rabbi Tovia Singer, of Outreach Judaism, and specifically his revealing of the deceptions of Paul who was a false apostle. #rabbitoviasinger

  1. Todah Rabbi, and a late arrival Boker Tov to all. Shabbat is such a blessing and is one of the signs of our covenant. It baffles me how most don't see the importance of this (nevertheless the other Mitzvot) when you read things like Isaiah 56 and 58, Ezekiel 20, and Deuteronomy 5.

Talking about the new year and counting the years, when you were discussing the shofar and the renewal and the second giving of the covenant (Torah), if people today don't recognize the correct day to count the year and hear the shofar, they may be subject to missing or ignoring the future shofar blast announcing the kingdom to come and the next renewal as in Jeremiah 31.

  2. @Lapid Judaism The mention of enslavement in this aliyah was only in reference to Jewish slaves (not non-Jews) made so via punishment for crimes committed or by choosing indentured slavery due to unpayable debts, right? 🤔

  3. Rabbi…. Whether or not the letters are valid isn’t the real issue.. The real issue here is the division between brothers-sisters because of religion. Why do we work so hard to prove a point that only creates division and separation from one another? Why can’t in a perfect world everyone agree to disagree but still walk in and with love towards one another. I think the ultimate message of Yeshua is unity consciousness and love under God. Proving whether or not someone is right or wrong only creates the opposite effect. Real Love doesn’t judge or punish it walks in truth with love. ❤ I feel like religion is only dividing us further away from each other because of the egos need to be right.
