Hello There! The DLC has finally arrived and it is time to see if we can survive. The Shakturi are a galaxy destroying race that wipes out anything in there path and we are going to try and stop them…

It has been some time since I played distant worlds 2 but I cannot pass up a chance to take on this new end game crisis in the game along with the other additions that come with the DLC we will be starting off a brand new game.

I intend to do a full game of this though in what format is to be decided regardless hopefully my fleets and soldiers are ready to hold back the tide of psychic attacks bio weapons and mutated monsters in the days to come 🙂

  5. Many people give up easily when the Shaktri comes, early on they are meant to be an unknowable and unstoppable force, but its totally winnable if you just stick around and hold your ground. I beat them once in one of my games. Should not have declared war though >__>

  6. Dealing with Shakturi early on requires being defensive. Fortify planets with shields, and ground-based weapons. They are very very powerful and pick apart powerful fleets. Hold your ground and follow the story. Opportunities will come by itself.
