The Terracotta Army is a collection of over 8,000 life-sized clay soldiers, horses, and chariots that were buried with the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang, in 210 BCE. Discovered accidentally in 1974 by farmers digging a well near Xi’an, China, the Terracotta Army is considered one of the most significant archaeological discoveries of the 20th century.
