  1. Since you’re doing cartoons at the moment, please could I suggest The Prince of Egypt? It’s one of the best animated films in my opinion. The soundtrack is out of this world!

  2. Mrs. Brisby is voiced by Elizabeth Hartman, who was nominated for her first movie – A Patch of Blue, which starred Sidney Poitier and Shelley Winters (1965). It's an excellent film from the Civil Rights era (it isn't political film, though) about a blind girl and her abusive living conditions (her mom's a prostitute). It was a big hit when it came out and would be an incredible reaction video if ever you so choose. Sidney Poitier was a superstar in the 1960's and A Patch of Blue is a standout of his, in my opinion. Better than "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner", which seems dated now but was considered groundbreaking back in the day. Elizabeth Hartman tragically took her own life sometime in the 80's, I believe, and she suffered from mental illness. Her voice is so unique to me.

  3. I've heard the sequel was one of the worst animated sequels ever. Insultingly bad.
If you want more mice, go with The Rescuers or it's very well done sequel The Rescuers Down Under. The eagle flight scene is breathtaking.

  4. I read book years ago. It' was qute captivating though the film itself didn't quite seem to capture the magic as well. But perhaps this a start of book reading channel. LOL

  5. Personally I think I love the movie, I love the book, and love them in different ways. There's something extremely mystical about this that the book lacked, but I found sufficient wonder in the mundane as well as this movie's fantastic premise.

  6. This movie came out when I was six years old. I think it started my love of animations. It's one of my favorite all time movies, even though it scared me as a kid. I also remember crying at the end of An American Tail, although I don't think I ever saw Fivel Goes West.

  7. This molded my heart when I was a little tike, and it was the very first movie I ever bought on DVD when that format came along. "Dream by night, wish by day / love begins this way…"

  8. Welcome to our 80’s childhood many of the movies we had like this, Gremlin’s, Drak Crysta, and Neverending story etc are quite dark and many are quite disturbing as well

  9. Yes, Wil Wheaton was the voice of Martin, but was also Gordie (Stand By Me). He was a very popular child actor in the 80s.

All I can say is, THIS IS IT. Ignore the seq…. HEY HEY HEY! I’m only saying that there is one but Cassie must avoid it!
