  1. Honestly i don't remember drop shots? But man the multi-player was awesome. No campers in every map for free for all. Remember gold camo was a treasure to have and the reputation to have gold.

  2. The game play , the time line , the music, the campaign, zombies and kill streaks were all on point and definitely made this 1 of my all time favorite in my 30yrs of playing video games . Not long after BF3 came out and other then socom us navy seals this was my golden age of games . Memorie lane ❤️

  3. Remaster this game please! Truly the best at being simple but complex. I remember the playercards went crazy. Wager matches were the most fun Gun Game, Stick and Stones, and One in the chamber. Personally my favorite COD

  4. BO1 and MW2 will always hold a special place in my heart. You could really see how much love and effort the devs put into every aspect of those games. It's sad to see the current state of COD, but I hope the new MW2 will bring back some of the old greatness

  5. The way I see it, which Call of Duty game you think is the best relies solely on when you started playing the games. When MW2 became the worldwide phenomenon it was, a lot of people who previously hadn't played CoD got into the series. The original Black Ops then became the first game from the series that they bought when it was new, so all the memories they have about how the CoD games were new and exciting came from that game. And when remembering the games 10+ years later, Black Ops is viewed in the best possible light through the most rose tinted glasses imaginable.

On the other hand, for people who have followed the series much longer (yes, people like me), the Black Ops series will always be second tier to the Modern Warfare series. The only thing Treyarch has ever been really good at is taking what Infinity Ward has already done and iteratively improve on it in the most low effort way they can get away with. Hell, even the graphics engine in Black Ops is copied straight from World at War, which is the reason Black Ops has worse graphics than all of the Modern Warfare games. The Zombies mode from Black Ops is one of the very, very few original ideas they have introduced to CoD, and that was made a throwaway last minute thing.

Infinity Ward at least tries to innovate and move the series forward. Treyarch are good little lapdogs who do whatever daddy Activision Blizzard tells them to, like giving Black Ops 4 a half-assed battle royale mode in place of a proper single player campaign, and continuing to this day to copy the successes of Infinity Ward as best they can.

The branching story paths in Black Ops 2 were pretty cool though, I'll give them that. Too bad they dropped that in later games.

  6. Even though I prefer Black Ops 2 for it's aesthetic, story, characters, soundtrack, etc. I think Black Ops 1 was overall the better game and experience. The story was so well executed, the multiplayer was popping, the zombies was great, the arcade had so many little modes. Then the Easter eggs like the main menu actually being a playable area where you can play Zork. Everything about it was pretty groundbreaking for the series. The maps in Black Ops 1 were also some of the best in the series for multiplayer, like the first Nuketown.

  7. When I started playing more "competitively" (had my own system and high school level brain cells) my first cod was world at war then black ops. When I finally played some modern warfare expecting to carry the same skills over (had played online before and beat campaign as a smaller child) i absolutely sucked. The game looked awesome and it always seemed like it was essentially the same but my accuracy and movement was significantly off in a way I can't describe and seemingly nobody else complained about it. Ik I probably just sucked but never understood why I found mw harder than black ops cuz most my friends didn't.

  8. Why can't they just keep new CODs more simple… I just want to play the game and everyone to have the same weapons without having to study the whole UI for hours
If they took all the time they put into all this irrelevant shit and make some decent maps instead I would be much happier.. my opinion
