On April 26th 2024 my chase partner Chris and I were chasing a massive tornado outbreak across the states of Nebraska and Iowa. One of these tornadoes became a devastating mile wide EF4 tornado that destroyed many communities near the Omaha Nebraska suburbs including the communities of Lincoln, Elkhorn, Bennington, Waterloo, and Blair. This is my story of chasing this historic event.

EF Scale explanation:

EF0 Light Damage (65-85mph)
EF1 Moderate Damage (86-110mph)
EF2 Considerable Damage (111-135mph)
EF3 Severe Damage (136-165mph)
EF4 Devastating Damage (166-200mph)
EF5 Incredible Damage (201mph+)

  1. isnt this the same day that Lincoln outskirts took a hit? if so you guys already had ALOT of footage. Im watching you guys drive rightnpast housesbthat took direct hits 7:09 for example. And you drove on by. I realize its why youre out there, to make money taking videos that dont come along that often. But yoy…Mr. McKinney….i didnt expect that from you.

  2. I watched multiple live streams that day because it was just so wild! Between this day and the pre-Milton tornado outbreak in Florida, I'm not sure which was crazier! The tornadoes in this outbreak were definitely photogenic!
