And contrary to what you've stated about the Chernobyl exclusion zone, people live in it. I even saw a woman who had been into and out of the zone more times than she could count, making YouTube videos all the while. She even went into the basement area of the hospital where many of the people were put after participating in the immediate " clean up" just after the disaster eventuated. She took videos of a room where all the clothes that they were wearing were discarded, still on the floor in a big pile. She couldn't stay in the room very long at all, but she got the video and to my knowledge she is still alive today.
