  1. Great video, however a little note on the nanatzcaya bit, it can be that isn't a reference to the nazca but to Ilhuícatl-Nanatzcáyan, the eighth level of heaven in mexica cosmogony, the genshin wiki recently added a bit about it, it means something like the place where the obsidian clashes.
Now what does it have to do with echoes? The word used for clash can mean creak/squeak so might be a bit of a stretch but since nahuatl doesn't have a direct word for echo last a friend and I checked then that kinda does the job. Hope it helped

  2. I’m sorry to break it to you but we will have to wait a whole month for natlan to be released to it’s not coming until mid August likely I really wanted it to be earlier but sadly no

Also I agree with you theory on teyvat being created if the new world was reborn then I likely happened through fire and since volcanoes actually help make more plant life it’s possible that it was the same for teyvat also if the pyro archon having the ability to resurrect herself is true then maybe its like a egeria type of situation were the og pyro archon was created to be the new heart of the primal fire possibly and since egeria was also kinda a dragon the same could be for murata I mean I already had this history that she was half dragon and that she and the pyro sovereign could be siblings born from the same place so it checks out also don’t know if you notice but the dendro dragon has the same eye pupils as nahida I don’t think it’s much relevant, but it’s nice detail showing there connection to dendro also I wonder if there are any other primordial elements like the primordial sea and primal fire I have this theory that irminsul is primordial dendro which is kinda confirmed or maybe implied and that time is primordial anemo and there’s the primordial sands with geo which just leaves cryo and electro left

  3. This video was very good and informative and im still intrigued by what u said here 4:49
it reminded me of what Ei actually says in one of her voiceline.

"The world of the people of Inazuma is also thus. There, thunder, lightning, wind, and rain were primordial facts of life, as well as light, and the sea… and the Raiden Shogun."

I always thought it was weird that she says this and why she included herself these "primordial facts of life"
Maybe u could enlight me about it? Maybe im reading it wrongly lmaoo, we shall see!

Natlan THE region im most excited about, the landscape being canyons, high plateaux with Baobabs trees with the balafon instrument playing in the back ground is very on par with what Talking stick established. Natlan is not only inspired by Mesoamerica but also by Africa.
They are very colorfull regions and cultures so im glad Natlan reflect that ans its not some barren place.
No I hope Hoyoverse will also be accurate when it comes to depict characters that lives in those places ahah

Also Nanatzcayan tribe is most likely also inspired by Ilhuícatl-Nanatzcáyan one of the 13 Heavens in mexican cosmogony. It means "the place where the obsidian knives are creaking" pretty fiting for a mining tribe no ?

And this particular Heaven is the abode of the god of Death. A place of storm, wind and Darkness (where it is born).

And this description of the place is what makes me believe Iansan is part of this tribe as she litteraly has the name of Oya Iansan the orisha (god) of storms, wind, Death and rebirth of the Yoruba culture. It fits pretty well ahah

    Thank you for this video🎉

  4. i actually only got the game for natlan so i cant truly express how excited i got from the saurian teaser. thats not to say i didnt enjoy the regions before the pyro nation, fontaine especially i was caught off guard by in how much i adored it. ive had theories on it but i honeslty wouldnt even know where to start in formulating any of them, especially in a comment section. regardless i found your video really interesting, about as informative as a video can get given how little we still know about natlan. it honestly didnt even occur to me that a cryo saurian might not be plausible, i just assumed that since all of them are partially pyro related itd be redundant to have a pyro one, despite the winged saurian literally flying past the screen

  5. That weird tree-like formation in the background reminds me of Seele's stigmata/the quantum symbol(s), which are based on her stigmata since she's basically the quantum mascot, but it also reminded me of the branches of inner Irminsul.

I don't know what to think about the hot springs from a lore perspective, but I think part of the reason they exist is 1. the Pyro theme but also 2. hot springs in real life are something people tend to associate with vacation spots. Many countries have them, but in this case I think Genshin borrowed the idea of Japanese onsen and gave it to Natlan. I think Natlan being associated with vacationing is part of the "heat" theme to reflect how in real life hot areas, particularly tropical ones, are huge tourist spots. Places like Bali, Hawaii, and the Maldives, but more relevant to Natlan places like Oaxaca, Tulum, Cancún, Florida, the Caribbean in general, and many places in Latin America.
It's also occurred to me that the Saurian theme is also geographically relevant. There are many dinosaur fossils (a disproportionate amount, even) that have been found the Americas, particularly the United States and Argentina. Outside of the Americas China and Mongolia also have quite a few. The meteor that killed the dinosaurs is also in the Gulf of Mexico in the Chicxulub Crater.
The graffiti shown reminds me a lot of graffiti in places like the United States, Mexico, and Brazil, which all have a lot, but the Americas have a lot in general, but I also am reminded of when I thought that Natlan might have a referential relationship with Zenless Zone Zero because of their release dates. Now that we've seen the graffiti I think that's more likely than I originally thought.

About the order of the elements, I think the answer to that might be related to a line from the Wings of the Forest description. There's a story there characters referencing Venti, Zhongli, and the Raiden Shogun discussing their elements, and on the topic of Electro the story said "The wooden object said that all mortal thought was the work of electricity". This is technically true, but in a way it sorta connects with Makoto and Ei and their domain of consciousness. Maybe Electro is related to the creation of thought? It could also relate to why the Quicken reaction exists. The Dendro reactions were said to be related to Sumeru's history, and Nahida did use both the Dendro and Electro Gnoses. On the loading screen order it comes right before Dendro, too.
    Just a "thought" (Cyno moment).

  6. Im glad u made this a different video. The theory about pyro being the 'originator' element makes a whole lotta sense
Btw why is electro always in this weird spot like do we even know where is the elctro dragon and everything about it seems really muddy. I really hope it is intentional and there is a reason behind it.

  7. I don't think the saurians are based off elements but reactions. Each saurian has some sort of red or fiery ability mixed with whatever other element they are, for example the crystalize saurian has fiery red almost crystalize like rocks when it digs underground and the vape saurian has orange bits on it and can swim in lava. I also think this makes sense because reactions are combat related and are like the elements "clashing" in a sense.

  9. From the informations we've got so far, the way you associated each saurian to an element makes sense. Still it would bother me so much if there was no cryo related saurian. The most logical thing to do is to create a species of saurian that combines pyro and then evolved merging with another element, giving birth to six species, one for each element added to pyro (hydro + pyro, dendro + pyro, geo + pyro, electro + pyro, anemo + pyro, cryo + pyro). So why would there be a saurian that simply kept its pyro roots unchanged?

  10. Love your videos!
The only thing I'd say, order of the elements in the game does not really make sense paired with history of life on Earth. Even agreeing that Pyro would come first, the next three would have to be the three non-biological elements, geo, hydro, and cryo. Then electro, bringing necessary energy to create biological elements and only after that dendro and anemo, with dendro coming first as you need "plants" and photosynthesis before you can have oxygen atmosphere.
But I think it is a question whether the order of elements in the loading screen is anything but random. For instance characters in our rosters are ordered geo-anemo-cryo-electro-dendro-hydro-pyro when their main sorting attribute (e.g. level) and rarity (4*/5*) is the same, that's definitely a different order than in the loading screen.
