I reason i chose s23 ultra and s series is fast performance . I temporarily tried a53 and gave it to my mother because that performance didn't cut it for me

A54 looks and feels nice but maybe going for the older S21 would be more bang for the buck

I really love A54 but people all over the internet complain too much about heat & battery issues and YES it's been a problem since release. All because of Exynos 1380, i guess? This phone needs optimization, that's it. But we're in the middle of between A54 & its successor A55. Samsung announces A series phones in March every year.

This years a54 or last years a53 is much worse and I'd prefer something like a galaxy s10+ or note 10+ over it, you could literally find a brand new s21 ultra for around $420. These a series phones use to he great in 2019, 2020 now the a series have gotten much more expensive and they extended software support to now 4 years android update and 5 years security uodate same applies to galaxy a53 and a54 but it wont hold up for half that, considering the device feel slightly sluggish a year to two from now it feel start to feel completely sluggish, these older flagships destroy these newer mid range phone and i just don't like recommending these mid range phone, it just isn't worth it for its price at $300 a series were great value but now that they cost $500 and having a processor which is inferior to even the s10 series is a slap on the face its more on par with something like the galaxy s8 and s9 series when doing gaming
Fyi the a34 isn't snapdragon its media tech which is much better optimized which is why the a34 out performs the a54

Depending on the market, but tbh I'd rather get an older flagship or the a52s. Flagships like the s10+ cost about half the price but you're getting a telephoto camera, aluminum frame, headphone jack and identical performance. Although you're missing out on the telephoto with the a52s, and the construction is plastic, the price is what makes it worth it

Yes, the speed is an issue, only when you first unlock the phone. For whatever reason it takes about 3 to 5 seconds for it to catch up.
Other than that, I'm not missing the wireless charging much.
It has most of the features I need. Waterproof, fast charging, decent camera (the night mode is not as good as the S21+ but I'm sure software updates will correct that), very nice screen, 120hz refresh rate. Basically everything I need for less than half the price. I got it on sale for $350 usd. I am very pleased with it and has convinced me to never buy a flagship again unless there is a ridiculous price sale on them. I do hope they fix the speed issue upon unlocking the device. Other than that, no complaints.

I got mine yesterday. I love it. It's perfect for me. I'm far from a power user. It's in my pocket 90% of the time. I don't game or book face, and it has SD expansion, which sold me. I'm teaching myself to color grade and edit video. It's been great.
