  1. A take on the graphic novels "Crossed" which I thought would never be made into live action because of their content. Just like those comics this movie has a specific audience in mind. It's pretty messed up but to be honest just how fuked up would people be if all their moral foundation is stripped from them and they are allowed to do the worst things they have fantasized about to others. That's what this film and the Crossed is about.

  2. Given the fact that sex drive is the most persistent and the most basic human drive /apart from self-preservation instincts/ the idea that a certain virus turns you into a sex obssessed creature does not seem so bizarre.

  3. Actually, the question you ask here frequently:"'what's the point of this?"" it is the question I ask myself every time I try to watch movies like ""Kill Bill"" or ""Pulp Fiction"" .

  4. Neil Breen movies, Gary… you earlier said you were not ready for such surreal horrors. Have you seen the movie called “The Room” (not the infamous Wiseau version – instead the 2019 Christian Volckman version)?

  5. Having watched this film a few days ago and knowing that the director himself said it was inspired by Crossed but with downplayed humour, Gary's sumup at the start was shit.
he's done his research but totally looked over Crossed being mentioned. I think he only had a quick look up of information.

  6. I am a horror fan, but I am not a gore hound. I was never a fan of the Saw franchise and movies of that kind. I need to be invested in characters and their survival even if they ultimately don’t make it. The finale of this film almost reminds me of Zack Snyder’s Dawn of the Dead where they reach the boat and Michael shows Ana he’s been bitten. The emotional depth of that scene was created by the character development of previous scenes. You care about these two people, and are disappointed that they won’t be together. In the end Ana and Ving Rhames don’t make it either, but I left the theater having been taken on an emotional roller coaster. I don’t think I could sit through this film just to have the infected guy and the girl spout violent stuff at each other. I need a little light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you Gary and Iain for sitting through this movie for a second time. Your sacrifice let’s me know this movie is not for me. 😊😊😊😊

  7. The way I see the infection is this the people who turn quickly already had it. And the people who get bit or blood contact the turn later didn’t have it. What turns them into the murder zombies is people who had the virus mutates inside them.

  8. I doubt you guys will take a recommendation from the comments sections here, but I'll throw it in anyway. I would love you to review One Cut of The Dead. Its a Japanese movie about making a zombie movie. Its pretty unique and lots of fun …and no where near as gory as this one.

  9. It´s a badly executed movie, but the idea is extremely intriguing. Ian is just a typical neckbeard who doesn´t even get that and wants his nerdy backround fluff and world building. Leave that to shows. Movies don´t have the screentime to elaborate to such depths.

  10. Just a suggestion, you guys don't even to review it, but I really want to see Ian's face after watching it. I wanna see how gut punched he can get. New movie, you may or may not have even heard of it. It's making a huge stink here in the states. It's called The sound of freedom. Based on a true story.

  11. This is the goriest film I've seen since Dead Alive! Aside from the sad story, this movie is a blood gore fest! And I love it! I would watch it just for that! But that's just me. Good review guys!! Keep it up!

  12. I actually agree with you on this one guys, and I loved both the Terrifier movies! The problem is Train to Busan raised the bar way beyond what this movie aspired to. A bit more character development and a slower build up in the first half leading to absolute mayhem in part 2 would have saved this movie, but they didn't even come close!

  13. This movie was ok / all right…not a classic however still watchable. Rather extreme in some circumstances. Call it Terrifier 2 / Ichi The Killer, Taiwanese style (Gore Fest). Hey like the mainstream news services around the world…"If it bleeds…It leads…!". Horror is in a temporary "Shock" phase like during the "Torture Porn" 2000s. The best horror will always be "Less is more…".
