  1. I like this and the original for different reasons. think the original has a charm of its own like your friend excitedly info-dumping the whole insane ordeal. And I appreciate the little extra details included in the remaster

  2. Ozzie-In defence of planning, 12000 cold weather clothes were needed if they actually ever got to port Arthur latitudes. A very amusing video until you ruined the narrative with a deplorable expletive at the end which added nothing and chopped your own flag pole down mate. Come on . An obviously intelligent and talented story teller can set a better standard.

  4. The prove that the Russian navy sucks in history was their attempt at sinking British fishing trawlers at Dogger Bank when they're only at war with Japan whilee their Baltic Fleet is transiting to Pacific, almost causing a war with the British.

  5. In 1971, I was on a USN Destroyer, tasked to shadow the Russian fleet that had come into the Mediterranean for the first time, in force. Interesting and fun times! 😅
One day, standing in the chow line, a Russian Cruiser came within a meter or so of colliding with us. All of us were looking at a bunch of Russian sailors, looking back at us (while standing in their chowline!) all with the same look! OH SHIT! ! !😊
Years later, I'm a 3rd Engineer on an old US LINES ship, with a Ukrainian junior engineer. We're talking during boring watches, and during one conversation on "how the fuck did you wind up here?" He told me that the first time he saw an American, was in 1971 when he was on a Russian Cruiser, standing in the chow line and they almost rammed an American Destroyer!
    No kidding!
He agreed, the Russian Navy has no clue as to what they are doing!
