Know the weather before you go to a park. Our hotel has a free breakfast. In the breakfast room was a TV with the weather. It was Oct. 21 and we went to Universal and it was chilly and not hot like you would think. If you ask a cast member how to get back to your hotel make sure you let the person know if it's an off sight hotel like we stay at so the person knows exactly where you should go. And it is good to know exactly where you are going, like what lane you want as that helps more too, so you don't miss your bus back to your hotel. I don't bring a lot when I pack. I just mix and match. I hate to bring a lot of stuff but I do bring what I need. If you have too just wash stuff out in the sink, You can look on line before you leave your house to find out exactly what the weather will be.
I 100% must walk and put 👀 on my gate to make sure it exists. Also, what airlines have you had issues with your carryon being too big? Was it your Away bag? Which Away bag do you have? Thanks for all The tips!
Validated- I, too, have to check on my gate first.
I thought y'all all lived in FL!! lol
Fry Bucket, you and I are so similar. We are both small organized practical gals from Texas, though I wish I had your speed. It totally makes sense to check the gate cause some airlines (not mentioning specifics) like to change the gate and time on you super last minute and the update probably will not even show up on your phone app. Love that Breedlove reminded us to get TSA pre check. I don’t have it, but am definitely considering it as it seems fairly inexpensive for a good investment and after all, time is money.
wait, but if there is no transportation from the parks to disney springs, how do you actually get there? without uber or lyft. isn’t there any disney transportation going to disneysprings even not from the hotels?? i’m so confused 😅 when we were there back in 2010 we always went to downtown disney after a park day
Loved this video. Also confirming I am someone that goes to the gate to make sure its exists and then goes to get food, etc. I think it puts my mind at ease just in case the gate grows legs and walks away.
Me: has been to Disney over 15 times and knows all the tips
Also me: still watches this video😂
i always check for the gate first after getting through security to make sure the plane is on time and there are no additional changes. learned that the hard way and it's better to be safe than sorry.
my wife has the baby size version of that pink bag
i miss DFW. bush is the worst.
we love the cuban place at mco
took the flyer in nov. long walk to the departure doors. nice trip. great cartoons. had them drop me at the boardwalk as i was heading for the swan reserve.
You’re not alone on checking your gate before your flight Fry! I always do it too and grab a bite before my flight.
main tip is remember non disney partner hotels drop
at the ttc for the mk. not the bus stops just outside the taps.
with your first timers do you put them on the ferry or monorail ? i say the ferry.
Do you recommend taking the red eye from Calif
boats are great for afternoon breaks at the hotels and then heading back. first drink at the poly porch in 15 mins from the taps.
path between grand flo and mk currently closed due to the big round the back road project.
can you do a show on the AK rehab ? i say the disgusting ear one comes back from space to lead the project. imagine when joe walks out to join bob on stage to announce the new AK and the boat that will connect to the AKL. the roof will come off.
Bag size for carry on or checked?
One tip I would add if you are not used to walking…… a lot….. in hot humid weather: bring some bandaids or blister pads into the park with you. There's nothing more miserable than nursing a blistered toe rubbing against your shoe all day. Our last trip we walked 69 miles over 7 days! Foot care is important!
I can’t lie—I was slightly thrown off by straight-haired Fry Bucket.
Here is a tip for you. Bring a clear ziplock bag (Gallon usually works) and put anything that might possibly setoff the metal detector into it and put it in your normal carrying around backpack/bag. That way when you get to security you just reach down grab the bag and hold it out when you go thru. I have had many of the security folks thank me for doing it that way since the metal detectors were put in place. It also keeps them dry if it rains and makes it easier to find what you need.
Clear student discount is like $60 for a year. I also have precheck and it's a breeze. My home airport is LAX so… it's a nightmare!
I'm all for some "sage" advice 😂
When you mentioned trains I thought you were gonna talk about getting to and from the Amtrak stations.
Sage if the water parade is going .. WATCH IT …. don't go to the monorail
Yes, Fry, I do that, too! 😂 I love flying out of my TX Regional Airport to DFW because oh, it’s such a breeze with security. MCO coming back was such a long wait on my return, sigh. Loved your packing tips. I download some movies, tv epis on my iPad, too. Oh, & I always have carryons only. I can roll up enough clothes in a carryon for a 6 days’ WDW vacay.
We need more of Papa Breedlove.
Lol….checking to make sure your gate exists. It happens all the time. You just never know so folks having connecting flights and they may think that their seat number is the gate for their connecting flight at the airport. Not everyone in the world flies.
One bag, but just for the chargers and cables
Make a video of all the skyline resorts
I love the fairy (Sp and pun intended?) its the best way to get to Springs, and quite possibly the best ride ever.
On someone else’s dime. That’s the best way 😂
Loved seeing Breedlove's dad!! And TSA precheck is the best!!! Hands down.
Request: Fry Bucket's TSA tips
Maybe more info on the channel for international travellers?
Away luggage is the best!
Love all of these tips!!
Fry, my wife does the same thing. Usually, one of us will stay at the gate while the other takes the kids to the bathroom and gets us food.
Does that early and late bus times include early entry or extended evening hours?
Getting some tips for our trip! Leaving Sunday!!! Fry, you and my wife are from the same mold!! She is the packing queen, and yes, she plans every outfit for each day!! We are intrigued by the packing cubes! Andrea (my wife) is curious about the advantage to having them, as in exactly how they help. Thanks again, and as always we are hoping we see you and the team next week!! We'll be the ones surrounded by high school seniors!!!
I always get travel or sample sizes of my facial products so they don't take as much room and I can just throw away at end of trip. Same with toothpaste, cheap toothbrushes. We really go minimum. My husband and I share one expandable medium suitcase for 10-12 days at Disney. I make sure everything fits un-expanded so there is room for my shopping haul coming home. It amazing what you can live without., And since I know I'm going to buy tee shirts I don't even bring shirts for every day. And ALWAYS put medications in carry-on. I use backpack purse that I can put under seat as I can no longer do overhead at my age.
Great tips! We often pack a dollar store collapsible hamper for laundry. And we also usually pack an empty duffle we can use as a carry on for the trip home for souvenirs we purchase. 👍🏻
Oh i love the packing section! A lot of this was hacks i had. Packing cubes are freaking awesome! Only thing i would add is an over the door shoe organizer if your hotel room has only one bathroom and you have a family of 3 or 4 and have a bunch of little things that the tiny counters dont have much room.
One other tip. If you go to Disney during the summer months and are staying at a Disney resort think about packing a spare set of clothes/deodorant/soap and shampoo with you in your park bag or have your items handy in the bag/s you are having guest services hold for you. Then head back to the resort about 30 minutes earlier than you might otherwise and shower in the pool house. It's so much nicer heading to the airport and catching your flight back if you are clean and fresh smelling plus if you have a late flight you don't need to clean up once you get home you can just go straight to bed!
Would you want to move to Florida?
