I think the last story could be explained without it bein a shady reason.
the one about the coworker being obsessed with them is very creepy. Itd be a lot creepier though if they've never even met the coworker and they still act like that. for 5 years.
The Valentine's story is just Mark trying to isolate her to further be able to drag her down. I'm glad she got out.

i understand the point where the guy finding it weird for the valenbtines gifts. it is weird in the sense that many fathers "fall in love" witrh their child. so i get where its weird. but it wouldn't proimpt me to tell her its weird, it would prompt me to talk to her about the why and then maybe ask the father about it. because yes its weird, but many things looks weird from the outset, whats important is not the weirdness but the reason why ! the girl telling its a tradition, yeah that could pass, but i still would like to talk to the father. now amanda saying she was birth in valentines day. yeah thats completely different. we're not talking about someone birthed on that day, we're talking a father sending love to her daughter as if she was his valentines. thats not healthy behaviior. that said, a little digging is all thats needed to understand the situation. talking to the father or the girl herself about why this tradition started would of probably yielded that thegirl had problems bvack in school and the father only wants her to be happy and thus became her valentine every years. this is much more healthier then the other options. just asking a few questions could of solved that relationship way faster. i'm also just saying to those who drops girls because of every god damn red flag that shows up… look in the mirror and thats probably why you are alone in the first place. everyone has red flags, relationship is all about how to manage those red flags between each others. not how you can get the perfect girl without any red flags. we're all humans, every humans have red flags.

It's not creepy to get valentines from your dad. 😅 that guy is way out of line. It's weird to make it weird. My dad has not given me valentines chocolate but he's given me flowers randomly in life and it just seems like he loves me (shock, who would have thunk). Amanda has 1000% cheated on someone, probably recently, and is putting herself in OPs shoes in story 3. The way she is going to bat for the cheater is sickening.

It seems like I’m in the minority who thinks that the girlfriend was shit and that a couple of the boundaries he gave weren’t productive. Not seeing the guy she cheated with, understandable. Not seeing any male friends at all isn’t. Making someone give you full access to SM, their phone, and social schedule is intrusive and isn’t sustainable long term. The tricky part with control is that the more you seek to obtain, you find it will never be enough and any peace you thought you had is temporary.
That’s if you want to restore the relationship. My point is some boundaries can be used to promote the flourishing of a relationship and some aren’t. Overall, I understand he was reacting from a place of pain and I feel for him. I’m glad that she’s not in his life anymore and I’m wishing him all the best.
