Buck Jones is a legend. One of my favorite Western actors. Serials are the best, it's great to see some from the pre-Republic Pictures days in such good quality too. For those wondering, this Red Rider is completely unrelated to the later Red Ryder character famously portrayed by Don "Red" Barry in Adventures Of Red Ryder, directed by William Witney, and later in a series of B-Westerns by "Wild Bill" Elliot and later Allan "Rocky" Lane. Some of you may know the character of Red Ryder solely from A Christmas Story. Red Rider actually predates Red Ryder by 4 years. Wonderful print of an oater filmed 90 years ago. I downloaded it for my Marion Shilling collection but hey, any film with Walter Miller and Richard Cramer is a must-see!
I watched a Buck Jones movie for the first time earlier this year and absolutely loved it. I'm now hoping for more of his movies to find their way to the internet.
