First 😎
Tired of getting sand kicked in my face. Hit the weights no more milk sop whiner!😃
In the mythos of MCU Iron Man, they have Tony Stark’s father, Howard Stark, be modeled after Howard Hughes, even making him look like him.
Fun fact Johnny wise muller was my moms swimming coach back in the 30’s.
The Incredibles taught us an important part of super hero safety. No capes!
I think that Professor X is based on Simon.
VPN's don't protect you from investigators, hackers or anyone serious about manually finding your IP.
What they do actually do is confuse automated services from being used to track your IP.
This saves from spam advertisements and regional limitations.
Obscuring your IP address is technically illegal but due to the ease of discovering your real IP manually this rule has no need to be enforced.
Talking about John Constantine. I had my son convinced that Matt Ryan that played the character John was also the starting Quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons. I don't know if he's realized I was messing with him. Lol. He's 22 years old and is a big DC fan. Lmao
This one's just a name, less actually based on, but the Maximoff twins are named after Matéo Maximoff, a Romani writer. Their adoptive father, Django, was named after Django Reinhardt, a Romani musician.
Harley Quinn isn't a superhero, but she was inspired by her original voice actress, Arleen Sorkin.
Professor X was physically based on Yul Brynner.
Monica Rambeau was physically based on Pam Grier.
Bucky Barnes was physically based on, and named after, Bucky Pierson, a school friend of Joe Simon's.
Conrad Veidt in The Man Who Laughs served as inspiration for the Joker.
I'm not totally sure, but Batman might be based on Zorro – hence why it's often Zorro his parents take him to see the night they're killed.
Still waiting for my X-ray glasses.
Originally Superman was a hyper-evolved man from the future, the Krypton storyline wasn't invented until the 1950s.
I didn’t even need someone to tell me iron man was based off of Howard Hues. He just is
The character of Doctor Strange was cobbled together from Lobsang Rampa Dennis Wheatley's Duc de Richelieu, and Carlos Castaneda's Don Juan.
Mr Miracle is based on comic artist, Jim Steranko. He is also an accomplished escape artist. His wife, Big Barda is physical based on Laine Kazan. Their relationship was based on Kirby's and his wife's.
Stan Lee would never have used the Sentinels as a comment on police brutality Lee held extreme right wing views and regarded the Civil Rights movement as a Communist front, and Martin Luther King as a Soviet agent.
Everyone's main question on the tip of tounges is, then who is "DEADPOOL" based on?
That would have to probably be a "bloodthirsty" Infantryman from WWII or VIETNAM I would assume…
Is there a "potential" Insperational Individual for this Character?
Bad jet 03
A real person could become a hero by turning the seam on that lampshade to the back so it doesn't show.
Ahhh… new mug. Better. Hard to chip that bad boy.
ironman always came off as howard hughes to me
Anthony Wayne (1745-1796) was a American general in the War of Independence, not the US Civil War.
Now we have Superman making out with guys, Batman on the CW is an ugly butch white lesbian!? And specifically says in the show when asked : "why do you think you can do the job as Batman better?"
Answer : "Because I'm a WOMAN."
Then Marvel made X-man Iceman gay even though he has been a womanizer since the beginning of the X-Men. And don't get me started on the New "New Mutants" comic book that never actually came out because Marvel knew it was S**T!!!
Groomer Disney has ruined Marvel the comics, tv shows, and movies and Warner Brothers has ruined DC. Have you seen the DC movies they're also really S**t. Thanks SJW WOKE corporations s**tting all over my childhood heros. If you too are tired of the complete S**T Marvel and DC are putting out. Look into the Rizzoverse. anti-Woke comic books that care more about the story and characters than seeing who can be more gay, SJW, WOKE, Trans bulls**t!!!
Gods I love John Constantine, such an enjoyable character 🙂
Maybe lie detector inspired Wonder Woman's lasso
Most people don't know that Ben Grimm/The Thing was literally based in large part around famous Comic Book Artist Jack Kirby. The way that The Thing talked, the tough way he acted, and even a supposed case of poor body image; Kirby being short and stocky, and The Thing looking like a 'Rock Monster'. One of the reasons that have been put forth for that was an infamous story where Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in the early days of Marvel Comics were being shaken down by the Mafia. They had made a front of services that they "sold" to businesses in the building they were in. After dragging his feet, they sent two large well dressed goons to collect from Lee and others in the building. Kirby allegedly walked in on this and looked at Lee and said "You want me to take care of them, Boss" and without waiting for an answer he beat the thugs out of the office, down the several flights of stairs to the ground floor, and one ran for their car and started it and then when Kirby came for him in the car, the other thug finally made it to the car, jumped in a partially open rear window and they sped off as Kirby was punching and kicking their car. The supposedly never came back to their office."
Isn't Musk based on Justin Hammer.. Or, do I have that backwards? lol Also, not sure if the character is in the original comics, so, if so.. I would like to throw in a time travel conspiracy to make it real. lol
The Professor X origin has the usual flaw: The X-Men weren't originally a Civil Rights allegory; Stan Lee was tired of creating a new origin for every character, and so introduced mutants as a way to have super-powered individuals with a common origin (a genetic disposition to powers that expressed themselves around puberty) so as to skip that stage of the story. In that regard, it's not surprising that Lee used an Israeli politician as a model, especially given Lee's (short for "Leiber") ethnicity.
It wasn't until Claremont brought the X-Men back (as the series had been cancelled) that the group became the allegory for Civil Rights, including the international background of his group.
Magneto was based on Malcom X , missing information from the video
Thanks for this one, Mr. Whistler. Appreciate it.
Thanks also for citing Bob Kane as ‘co creator’, and Not the sole creator of Batman as Bill Finger was the one who really developed Batman from Mr. Kane’s initial drawings and also gave him the secret identity of Bruce Wayne, as well as writing his origin in Batman #47.
Regarding Prof. X, its said as well that visually he was based after actor Yul Brynner of The Magnificent Seven and The Ten Commandments.
Jack “King” Kirby himself was said to have been the inspiration for the look of Marvel’s Nick Fury and General “Thunderbolt” Ross (as well as Benjamin J. Grimm, the Thing of the Fantastic Four) given all three characters smoke cigars, have prominent eyebrows and a ‘go get ‘em!’ attitude.
Super man is the caped crusader?
Thats not the real Sting! Lol. The real Sting beats people with a bat and wears black and white. Lol
Speaking of Superman and the Nazis, Saturday Night Live did a hilarious look at what would happen if baby Kal-El landed in Germany instead of Kansas. Poor Jimmy Olson.
Lucifer = David Bowie
It would have been hard to interview Jack Kirby in 2011…he died in 1994.
When it was mentioned about the Hulk being based upon a woman, I had thoughts of whether she had underclothes that, like the hulk, conveniently did not tear apart to maintain her dignity…….. 😛
WTF??!! The Caped Crusader is Batman Not Superman! And arguing that Superman is Jewish (of which I have have no opinion either way, hey why not?) he would hardly be called a Crusader! FFS….
Moses—except he’s not real, is he? Lol
RIP Alan Moore!
Superman is NOT the Caped Crusader… Batman is…just say'n.
re: hulk – my sister (3) was trapped under the front wheel of a late model 1950s Chevy and a man lifted the whole front end enough that my mom could remove my sister and take her to the hospital. Thing was, he had a bad back. Did not more damage than he had before. My sister was bruised but nothing broken.
Nick Fury (from the Ultimate universe) is based on Samuel L Jackson, so his MCU role was basically made for him.
The Nazis were afraid of the Ubermensch? Are you sure?
