  1. I never understand the callers who don’t know how to tell their family no. Easy.

    It goes like this, firmly…
“No, I will not loan you money & don’t ask me again.”
Idc if you’re my grandma or what, it’s no & gonna stay no. Why are people afraid to speak up?

  2. I have a thought…do we factor in the number of children we can actually afford in the baby steps program? Surely family planning needs to be considered as part of the baby steps…I know there are combined families these days but 1 AND 2 year olds plus 4 other children woth oldest at 15 years old? Marantha sweet Jesus!

  3. Thank you for discussing the topic of paying off the mortgage early versus investing the difference! My dad who work in finance told me that I would be stupid to pay off my house early with a 2.78% interest rate.

  4. I’m a fan of paying off your house, but you can still lose it if you don’t pay property taxes. You will always owe on your house unless you are a 100% disabled vet and don’t have to pay property taxes.

  5. I love George Kamel. He’s a fantastic role model for the young-uns! He’s cool, he’s cute, he’s smart, and he makes being money-savvy the best thing ever. AND he sings! 😃

  6. Not sure if George misspoke, or if he doesn't know. But mortgage interest is NOT front loaded.. It's simple interest based on the principle amount every month. Ramsey talks about this all the time… It feels front loaded simply because your principle is highest at that point in time, but it's not actually front loaded..

And as far as paying off the home loan vs putting the money in a savings account earning 5-5.5%, assuming both amounts are the same (which they would if you're saying fully paid off house vs having the money in a savings), you would make more money if it's in the savings account. And the whole sleeping better at night? If you lost your job the next day, you could take the money out of savings and pay off the mortgage at that time if you wanted? Not sure how that is an argument.. As long as your savings account is compounding at least monthly (better if daily), then you would be earning a couple percentage spread. But once rates come down in the savings account, then you could pay off the mortgage..

Just remember any interest earned from a savings account is taxable income. But you would still come out ahead by a few percentage points, which on a larger sum of money, (like 150k+), is still a lot.

  7. The Success behind every Rich person today is the decision they made for themselves, I'm so happy with a good investment I'm able to acquire my third house recently even as a father having 4 kids and my wife is late, I just believe if things keep going well for me I would retire early.

  8. You have to be careful when you connect side hustles to Night Shift jobs. I tried that once. It will work for a little while but realistically you have to sleep at some point. If you run yourself down and then you get sick or God for bid you’re in the car and probably shouldn’t be driving because you’re too fatigued, it can be a dangerous scenario so I would go with the retail gig. Just my opinion.

  9. God wants you to provide for your family. The BibleBible says that you leave your family and cleave to your wife. If this gentleman who wants to be in ministry goes to the church and humbles himself, saying that he needs time to provide for his family and bring in more income. If he’s honest with the church, they should counsel him appropriately and either offer additional support so he can stay at the church or assure him that once he regains his ground that he will always be needed and welcomed back to provide ministry for others. You need to be in good shape if you’re going to help other people. It’s that old saying about the oxygen mask….. you need to keep yours on, so you can help others. If you take it off you’re of no use to other people.

  10. Dude is getting a business degree, says he's entrepreneur minded, but his business is failing and he's talking about working two full-time jobs for someone else to pay the bills 🙄

  11. On the flip side of debt, my grandfather was Never in debt, lived a very frugal life, worked hard, saved money, invested, and retired a multimillionaire, but died in his mid-sixties from the stress of always worrying about money. Balance and attitude are key.
