😂 Guess modern lekky cars are like a PlayStation… works til it breaks then you just bin it for another one 🙄 My 97 cinquecento is as basic as it gets, but works fine and basic toolkit is all you need 😂
The customers have the power, if they keep accepting no spare wheels and laggy and unreliable screens that control more and more, these things are going to keep happening.
So, let me let you into a secret! I bought a VW T-Cross which also just had a tin of ‘gunge’. My immediate thought was ‘What do I do if I have a puncture and the gunge isn’t enough (like a torn sidewall)? ‘ Answer – I bought a spare wheel! (It was easy to come by on eBay.) Which is just like the Ford Orion, of course… I had an Orion Ghia back in the 80’s. A great car and it’s good to see you rescue one but don’t knock your VW EV when you didn’t think ahead! It, too, could have many minor problems that you could be prepared for…
Remember before they fitted all these sensors there was no way of knowing you had any problems 😂 like that knocking noise or car not feeling right, i Remember it used to take an actual mechanic up to an hour maybe 2 to diagnose and fix the problem😂😂 i think cars have got so complicated and especially with these hybrids and EVs not even all main dealerships can work on them only specialised dealers! Old cars had there issues not always the most reliable but with a few little tweaks like fitting electronic ignition and decent carb tune and or rebuild would help with those issues and only thing i think really helped was the brake servo and ABS apart from that i think the technology has made them so complicated that most of the time theres nothing wrong with the car its a sensor or electrical fault which on old cars where pretty easy to fix
The ID4 is a VW, a company that’s lied to its customers, dumbed down its once imperious quality, made the user interface unfathomable and upped their price list well above inflation. Why on earth would anyone buy their shoddy products 😡
😂

Love it!
Modern day crapboxes for ya.
I think all cars should have a space saver as a minimum. All that hassle for a flat is ridiculous.

Automotive design and innovation is in reverse. Makes a joke out of any pretence at environmental sustainability too.

It was all believable until you said the Orion started first time 😂. Had you had an Astra I would have believed you 😂

This issue could be solved by getting yourself a full size spare😂
And people wonder why i like to stick with classics
Why not just ring a mobile tyre fitter?
Not totally sympathetic. Could/should have bought a can of tire pando (aerosol can of foaming gunge) as soon as you used what came with the car.
