  1. I can’t help but feel like they missed the point of Lord of the Rings… the whole point is that you shouldn’t use the ring, and that the ring takes a huge toll on its bearer. Would’ve been a great opportunity to use -1/-1 counters, maybe? Ah, but what do I know? I just read the book is all.

  2. All those Commander decks are miserable. Nobodies gonna want to play against boring planeswalker tribal. Slivers already have 5 more interesting commanders. Eldrazi becoming a better version of the green blue snake is funny, but a miserable experience to play against.
And black adds nothing to an enchantress deck.

  3. “What does the ring do to you?” He asks the crowd. The answer is not good things.

…aaaand then they go on to show the mechanic that shows it does all good things. And there’s one ring for each player. And it’s basically just another dungeon. What a flavor fail. 😂😂😂

  4. Why do i see no comments about the jeweled lotus comment? He just passively drop a hint? Sure not JL itself but maybe a new kind of lotus?

  5. Sauron seems cool. But I wish they gave it an ETB that has the “Ring Tempt You”, or a condition/ability that could get you there

Otherwise that card is utterly useless outside its set, making it lack flexibility

  6. Being the only other named legendary Eldrazi, I feel like Zhulodok’s art / mana cost should be more imposing. The whole point of the Eldrazi titans was they were supposed to be these otherworldly beings like Lovecraftian Gods. Either this card is a new 4th God (in which case the art should show it) or it’s just a scion of one of the other Gods (in which case why is it legendary?)
